Yet Alfred wasn't the least bit offended. He nodded solemnly and replied, "Yes! What Senior Lopez says is true. Alfie will definitely become more stable and mature in the future. Please rest assured."

John almost gagged.
Alfred added, "I'll follow all of Senior Lopez's teachings. But please—please let me kneel this once! I offended you before, and yet you ignored the past and saved my Kelvin family. You are truly our greatest benefactor!"
