Chapter 149 – A Mad Dog
At dusk.
After a hearty meal, Kate cheerfully clung to John's arm as they went out shopping, looking just like a young couple.
They strolled around for more than two hours.
Kate, still full of energy, didn't show the slightest sign of fatigue. From time to time, she pointed at various corners of the city and said, "Look, John. That place used to be the top spot for rich women. And that one too."
John looked at her strangely and asked, "Four Sister, how do you know so much about these... places? Are you...?"
"Haha!"
Kate giggled and blinked. "Because I'm a reporter, of course! I've gone on plenty of undercover assignments. But I swear, I've never done anything shady."
"Of course I believe you," John replied with a wry smile.
Now he understood why his Fourth Sister had become so... greasy. All the fieldwork and undercover experiences had clearly rubbed off on her.
