It was a quiet afternoon.
After confirming the birthmark on John's body, Kate had enjoyed a much-needed rest. Later that evening, she planned to go shopping with him. After all, it had been years since they'd last seen each other—of course, she wanted to reconnect and strengthen their bond.
While Kate slept, John headed to the Wood Family estate.
Since his fourth sister had no intention of taking his prized bike back to New York, what choice did he have? He couldn't just leave such a valuable treasure unattended.
So, he decided to temporarily store it at the Wood residence.
When Emily Wood saw John arrive, her face lit up with joy. Then, as if remembering something important, she suddenly recalled her father's earlier "mission"—to win Doctor John over within six months.
To achieve that, she needed to create more opportunities to spend time with him.
"Doctor John," Emily said, eyes gleaming, "our school is planning to launch a traditional Chinese medicine interest class. Would you be willing to be our instructor?"
Emily was a teacher at Providence College.
Teaching was her passion.
