Carlos's expression subtly shifted. Though he kept his smile, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes as he heard John call his name directly—Carlos.
When Queenie said it, it amused him. It was almost... endearing.
But when a man called him that, especially someone like John, it grated.
Carlos forced a smile. "Of course I'm in a good mood. Damon Group's new facial mask, Myra, is selling exceptionally well. I don't need you to tell me that."
John gave a casual nod. "I hope you can keep smiling, Carlos. But unfortunately for you, BEAUTY will launch in three days. I'm afraid that smile won't last much longer."
Carlos blinked.
Even Queenie looked stunned. She immediately pulled John aside. "Little John," she hissed under her breath, "what are you talking about? Why don't I know BEAUTY is launching in three days?"
"I just decided," John replied with a carefree smile.
Queenie's jaw dropped. She pinched his arm in frustration. "Are you serious? Do you know how much planning a product launch requires? We need time for marketing, logistics, promotions—"
She sighed.
Yes, the charity auction had served as a great boost in publicity. Without Damon Group's interference, the launch could've gone smoothly.
