"Yosha! I’ve binged all the anime from last season that I missed!"
"Phew, that was exhausting."
In a room lit only by the dim glow of a monitor, Masachika sat in his chair, his eyes stinging and weary after an all-night anime marathon.
"Huh, already dawn? Man, time flies when you’re having fun."
Glancing at the digital clock on his desk, Masachika was shocked to see it was 5 a.m. He’d thought it was still the early hours.
"Ugh, my body’s all stiff from sitting too long."
Trying to stand, Masachika felt a dull ache in his back. He stretched his tense muscles.
"Too bad Yuki didn’t join me. Come to think of it, Yuki’s barely been around lately. Could she be busy with Suou Family matters?"
Thinking of his younger sister, Suou Yuki, Masachika felt a twinge of guilt. He realized he’d been leaving too many Suou Family responsibilities to her.
"Yuki’s been acting strange lately. She’s not as wild as before—she’s quieter. I hope she’s okay."
