Danmachi: The Magic Grandmaster

Chapter 113: Dragon Expedition

Elsa sighed and said.

"Then the dungeon will be in your hands while we are away on our expedition."

The fact that he was able to produce such a massive puppet proved that Sion's reputation and skill were already incredibly high.

"I understand," Sion replied.

After all, this was his responsibility.

During the dungeon riot, Sion secretly protected many adventurers, preventing any major casualties.

This situation was perfect for deterring some of the adventurers that Sion disliked, such as those who were only in the labyrinth to make a cheap living rather than actually exploring.

With Satella's shadow garden, unless a large number of level 8 or higher monsters rushed out, there would be no pressure at all.

Furthermore, unless it was a true monster rex, even a large group of level 8 monsters would only be crushed by her.

In addition, he had access to the large scale mind spells from his various puppets.

It could easily be said that Sion no longer needed a familia, he was a top tier force all by himself.

Back home, Sion pondered the recent events.

He didn't need to worry about the evilus gods for now, it would be incredibly difficult for them to escape.

Even if they managed to escape, once they reached an upper floor, their arcanum would be detected and they would be sent straight back to the tenkai.

The black dragon also had unit zero one as an opponent, so this battle shouldn't be a complete rout.

At the very least, it should result in a stalemate.

Now all that remained was for the zeus familia and the hera familia to set out on their campaign.

"The puppets are fully complete, so I don't plan to make any new ones for the time being," Sion muttered.

The number of puppets was now sufficient.

Eight puppets that acted as elemental avatars were more than enough to deal with any crisis in Orario.

His focus now should be on improving himself.

The physical body was always the most important foundation but it was also the most fragile.

Sion closed his eyes to sense his own physical condition.

As his physical limitations were gradually lifted, his basic physical parameters gradually caught up with his immense mind strength.

Even so, the brain was also a physical part of the body.

With the complete liberation of his brain capacity, his growth speed was rapidly accelerating and his physical strength had already reached the equivalent of a level 3 adventurer.

"There is no need to rush."

Sion took a deep breath, suppressing the stress and anxiety caused by the numerous chaotic events that had occurred recently.

He had become stronger quickly.

He had only been in this world for a little over two months.

Even the future heroes of this world would take years to reach level 3, yet he had already accomplished so many grand feats.

He even had the opportunity to participate in the black dragon extermination battle and act as a main combat force through remotely piloting unit zero one.

That was about all he could do.

Calming himself down was the most important thing right now.

After reading a book for a while, evening soon arrived.

Meteria and Alfia returned home.

Over the past two days, the two familias had finished all of their preparations.

To Sion's surprise, the departure time for the two familias was actually brought forward, meaning they had to travel overnight.

"Isn't this far too hasty?" Sion frowned and asked.

Although adventurers could easily stay awake for several nights and had developed strong resilience in the dungeon, starting their grand expedition at night would inevitably affect their physical condition to some extent.

"There is no other way, time is of the essence," Alfia replied.

Alfia looked at Sion. After hesitating for a moment, she walked over to him.

Before Sion could even react, Alfia grabbed his collar and pulled him into a deep kiss.

This was the first time Alfia had ever taken such bold initiative, perhaps it was entirely due to the immense pressure of facing the black dragon.

"That was a first, wasn't it?" Sion smiled.

"Mhm," Alfia responded quietly, but she didn't say anything more.

The atmosphere between the two of them became somewhat awkward.

After a long while of silence, Alfia finally said, "I am leaving."

"I know." Sion nodded, then handed her a plain ring and said.

"This is the shadow ring I made. It can hold your supplies and unit zero one."

Using the element of shadow as a medium to store items was much simpler than using true spatial magic directly.

Because of the immense complexity of the technique, the inside of the ring was engraved with gold and countless mind runes, making it incredibly troublesome for Sion to create even one.

"You need to remember that because the internal space has been forcibly expanded, its structural durability is severely compromised."

"It can only be used safely for a maximum of one month."

Sion continued, "If the durability drops to zero and the ring breaks, the contents inside will be violently expelled back into the outside world."

"I understand." After a brief pause, Alfia accepted the ring.

After infusing her mind into the metal, Alfia was somewhat surprised to find that she could clearly sense the vast shadow space hidden within the ring.

The fact that he could even forge such spatial storage equipment was a feat never before seen in the gekkai.

For the adventurers in Orario, its strategic significance in a raid was self evident.

"By the way, Zeus wants to see you before we set off on the campaign." Alfia seemed to remember something and spoke up.

"Is it about unit zero one?" Sion asked in confusion.

"That might be a factor, but it is most likely because of Zald."
