Chapter 30: Alfia: Ah, so you got a boyfriend... Wait, what?!
"We're quite lucky. Three Infant dragons have actually shown up." Sion smiled and said, "Then let's be serious."
"Vacuum Slash."
With his index and middle fingers raised together, invisible Mind condensed and transformed into air slashes.
In fact, the principle behind the Vacuum slash was the same as the Magic bullet, except one pierced a single focal point while the other cleaved through a wide area.
The different variations of the spell actually consumed roughly the same amount of Mind.
A standard Magic bullet needed to be imbued with the explosive attribute to explode in order to kill this monster.
While vacuum slash could kill it, but it consumed a significant amount of Mind to stabilize its base form.
The most cost-effective method was to use a single Revolving Bullet to scrap the infant dragon, but that would take much time.
At a 5m distance, an Infant dragon could close the gap in a single charge, which would cause a lot of trouble.
"Easy."
Riveria's arrow pierced the second monsters.
These monsters, though powerful enough to wipe out a rookie adventurer party, posed absolutely no threat to them.
Anakitty went to retrieve the magic stones, it was her duty as a Supporter.
At this point, Sion had already used up a quarter of his Mind capacity. If he'd not been traveling with Riveria, he probably would have started heading back to the surface by now.
He had tested most of his spells, but he had yet to use his Rasenshuriken spell. However, that spell required entirely too much Mind, meaning it obviously could not be tested casually in a dangerous dungeon.
"I see. As long as you improve your fundamental control over raw Mind, you can cast spells rapidly without chanting," Riveria sighed, looking at Sion as if confirming her own conclusions.
Yea, but it's more than just that.
Sion smiled and replied, "Mind control is just as important as mind output. It allows for absolute precision over a spell's formation."
"Even without the magic slots granted by a Falna, as long as one has sufficient Mind control, they can rapidly learn and execute congenital magic without the need for a chant."
Once the basics were mastered, altering the elemental properties of a spell became simple.
"For example-"
"Sacred Flame Spear."
Several projectiles imbued with both fire and light attributes materialized around Sion.
With a single thought, the glowing spears shot forward, incinerating a large swarm of monsters swooping down from the ceiling.
"Chantless again..." Riveria took a deep breath.
Despite understanding the theory, seeing Sion instantly cast a spell still left her shaken.
The Sacred spell was a light spell originating from the Elves. As a member of the Elven royalty, Riveria naturally possessed deep knowledge of this magic.
Yet even now, as a Level 3 adventurer, Riveria couldn't cast such a spell chantless.
This demonstration made Riveria realize the absolute anomaly of Sion's talent once again.
While Sion was exploring the Dungeon, Orario was busy celebrating.
The Zeus Familia and the Hera Familia had just defeated Leviathan.
Before this, they had also slain the Behemoth.
However, since the executives of these two major Familias were not the type to bask in the public eye, although they received their share of the glory, members who disliked the spotlight simply returned home early.
For example, Alfia.
"Welcome back, Sister." Meteria greeted her twin, who had just returned from the battlefield, with a warm smile.
"Mhm." Upon seeing Meteria, Alfia's typically cold expression softened.
Both of them suffered from similar incurable, debilitating Skills, but due to Meteria's inherently poor physical condition from birth, she was far more susceptible to weakness and illness.
Yet right now, Meteria looked much healthier.
She had a rosy glow to her cheeks, clearly looking much better than she had before Alfia left for the expedition.
But the next moment, Alfia's eyes narrowed.
Stepping closer to Meteria, she gently cupped her sister's cheeks in her hands and asked in suspicion, "Why do I feel like something about you has fundamentally changed?"
"Changed?" Meteria was taken aback for a moment, then smiled, "Well, it's probably because I have a boyfriend now."
Ah, so you got a boyfriend... Wait, what?!
Alfia was stunned, and then her heart plummeted into the abyss.
I was away for less than two months, and when I came back, some bastard had seduced my sister?! Who is he?!
Looking at the sudden, absolute zero glare in Alfia's eyes, Meteria lightly pinched her cheek and scolded, "You can't do that, Sister. You'll scare him."
Good grief, she is already siding with the bastard?!
