While Others Stream Dungeons, I Became The Final Boss

"I’m fine. Just a little strain at the side of my waist," Executioner Five responded with a grim look, gently holding his waist.

Abel realised Executioner Five wouldn’t be able to continue in the upcoming battle.

The group looked behind them as Bear Bard arrived.

Bear Bard walked toward Executioner Five.

"Hey, I can still fight," Executioner Five tried to dodge Bear Bard’s hands, but he was quickly subdued.

Bear Bard hoisted him onto his shoulder.

"Your battle ends here. Trust me, you can’t handle what’s about to come," Bear Bard said solemnly, staring at the giant rabbit in the distance that was scraping its giant feet against the ground as its entire body shook.

"What’s going on?" Abel spotted this scene as well and asked, understanding that Bear Bard might have an answer.

Suddenly, the sky began to turn blood-red.

A suffocating pressure descended upon the plains.

Abel looked skyward with an ominous feeling settling in his chest.

"The dungeon is currently undergoing a mutation. Monsters in a mutated dungeon are stronger than normal monsters. This is also a part of your trial. If you can conquer this dungeon, you will all be able to successfully pass this trial," Bear Bard explained, staring at the sky curiously. "I’ll be nearby watching in case any of you decides to forfeit the trial or becomes too injured to fight. I wish you both the best of luck."

"Hey, this isn’t fair. What do you mean we’ll be fighting against a mutated—" Executioner Five shouted, trying to climb down from Bear Bard’s shoulders, but all his efforts were for nought as Bear Bard turned around and carried him away from Abel and Poison Rose.

Abel frowned as he watched Bear Bard walk away.

He refocused on the transformed giant-feet rabbit ahead.

Its fur had turned blood-red. Its canine teeth had elongated to the size of sickle blades. The size of the rabbit hadn’t changed, but at a glance, it was clear that it had undergone a terrifying transformation.

[Inspect]

Abel activated his skill.

Abel finally realised how this dungeon worked. The final boss emerged from a transformed giant foot rabbit after all the others had been killed. The issue was that Abel didn’t know how strong this final boss was compared to the one from his mutated dungeon.

Abel turned to Poison Rose and saw the look of hesitation on her face. He understood what was going through her mind at this moment and felt the same way, too.

It was obvious that this dungeon had chosen to test the limits of their abilities.

"Are you afraid?" Abel asked.

Poison Rose snapped out of her thoughts and shook her head at Abel. "No. But I’m unsure if we can defeat that thing."

With Firestar and Executioner Five out of the battle, she saw no way they could face a mutated Final Boss monster with only the two of them and emerge victorious. The best possible method right now would be to simply do their best to showcase their abilities, then, at the right moment, willingly fall in battle for Bear Bard to save them and pull them out of the fight.

No one would blame them for their loss, and their next dungeon trial would surely be easier.

Poison Rose thought that Abel had also come to this conclusion. However, his response caused her mind to come to a halt.

"We can defeat it. It’s just a Final Boss," Abel said.

’Just a Final Boss?! Are you even listening to yourself?’ Poison Rose’s eyes twitched, but she kept her thoughts to herself. She wasn’t going to be the one caught on livestream, discouraging her teammate from conquering the dungeon. That would ruin her guild application.

"Okay. I’ll follow your lead," Poison Rose added, with a resolute expression.

Abel nodded. He removed his shield and embedded it deep into the soil before her, before letting go.

"You can use this as cover. I won’t be using it in this battle."

Poison Rose nodded. Though it was only enough to cover her legs up to her upper thighs, she wasn’t going to refuse protection when it was offered for free.

Abel spun his battle axe as he walked toward the mutated Final Boss Giant-Feet Rabbit.

As though it had lost its fear, the monster didn’t back away from Abel’s advance. Instead, it tilted its body forward and struck the ground with its giant feet.

Boom!! Fhossh!!

The earth carved into a crater as the monster shot toward Abel like an arrow loosed from its string.

Abel leaned and leapt to the side, forcing the mutated Final Boss Giant-Feet Rabbit to miss him by a hair’s breadth.

He jumped to the side again as the monster halted and shot toward him once more.

While it seemed as though Abel could keep up with the monster’s speed, he wasn’t doing so. His Agility was only D-rank. His Physique was D-. Attempting to track and keep up with the monster’s speed was nothing but suicide.

However, because of his experience role-playing as a Final Boss Persona, and the monster instincts implanted into his mind to help him quickly become accustomed to a Final Boss’s abilities and nature, Abel could think like a monster.

Since he had already become accustomed to the movements of the Giant-Feet Rabbits, whose intelligence seemed to have worsened—or else it would have dug into the earth and used its incredible power and speed to strike from below—Abel could predict the monster’s movements at a moment’s notice.

[Bloody Howl]

Suddenly, Abel paused, and his throat tightened.

A terrifying roar tore from his lips.

The monster froze in place.

Abel swung his battle axe forward.

SWOOSSH!!

The battle axe, which had been spinning for several moments, shot forward like a bladed catapult.

However, at that moment, the beast snapped out of its daze and leaned its immense upper body to the side.

Abel realised that the beast possessed greater mental fortitude than the previous Giant-Feet Rabbits.

However, unless it possessed a skill capable of countering a D+-ranked skill...

It was his prey.
