Chapter 28: Newbies’ Dungeon Trial [6]
The giant rabbits were stunned, quickly freezing in their tracks.
The livestream’s immersive effects made the battle feel so real that Miles froze in place as well.
On screen, Abel swung his battle axe and hurled it at the nearest monster.
The battle axe tore through the arm of the monster, and it bled profusely.
The monster released a loud, shrill cry and recovered from its stunned state, as did Miles.
But by then, it was too late for the beasts.
Abel raced to the side of the other giant-feet rabbit and swung his battle axe over its neck.
The axe penetrated deep into its fur, slicing open its flesh.
"SKRREE!!"
Using the momentum of his swing, Abel jerked his arm back and swung it once more at the charging beast that had appeared before him.
The blade of the battle axe cut deep into the front of its neck.
He pulled the axe out quickly and sliced open its large feet with a jerk of his arm. Then, he retreated several meters from the two giant monsters.
[Bloody Howl]
He unleashed another terrifying roar.
The giant-feet rabbits froze in their steps, unable to move forward. The blood from their wounds continued to gush out profusely, so even if they wanted to, they were unable to charge. Soon, the first collapsed on the ground. And then the second followed.
Abel calmly walked toward them and brought his battle axe down once more, ending the lives of both beasts.
"He did it."
Miles was shocked at the scene that he had just witnessed.
It wasn’t only him. The others who had also been watching to see how Abel would escape his sudden dilemma were stunned as well. A few moments later, a resonated cheer broke through the silence.
"HAAAAAA!!!"
"HAAA!! That guy is a beast!!"
"He did it!! I should’ve placed my bets on him as the one to conquer the dungeon. Look, Firestar is still struggling against her opponents! Useless!! Useless!!"
"Keep talking!! I have it all on record. I want to see how you can get into Firestar’s community now!"

Those who had been observing the others’ streams immediately shifted their attention to Abel’s screen once they noticed what had happened. They focused on him, observing how he would handle the remaining monsters facing his teammates.

"What kind of skill was that?" After regaining his composure, Miles couldn’t help but ask himself. The skill sounded like that of a beast.
Could it be his special skill?

Miles shook his head and decided to continue watching to see how the battle would unfold. His eyes were drawn toward the other half of the screen.
He saw that Firestar had unleashed a terrifying spell, completely incinerating both giant-feet rabbits at the same time. However, she had sustained a blow to her ribs in the process of launching the attack.
As this scene unfolded, the Hunters watching Firestar’s screen exclaimed in unison.
"Get up!! Get up!!"
"Don’t give up! You can do it!!"
"Please, get up! I used my last coins to bet on you!!"
"It’s finished! They’ve failed their trial!!"
"You’re the one who’s finished! Didn’t I hear you bragging about betting on Firestar? Next time, vote for skill rather than beauty!"
"If this is the community you guys are planning to build, then I’m disappointed!! A community of broke Hunters!!"
Miles looked at the scene with disappointment.
What an unexpected turn of events!
If Firestar were to drop out of the battle now, then the team’s firepower would be greatly reduced. However, it was impressive that she had eliminated two giant-feet rabbits by herself when most Level One newbie Hunters would struggle to take care of even one.
But compared to Abel, who had taken care of two without sustaining such injuries, it wasn’t worth mentioning.
At a glance, it was obvious that Abel was much more skilled than Firestar despite lacking her firepower.
The viewing panel merged as Bear Bard immediately arrived before the collapsed and injured Firestar to take her out of the battle, while Abel immediately raced toward Executioner Five and Poison Rose to support them.

They had successfully struck down two monsters. But unlike Firestar, they were in a less precarious situation due to their combined teamwork.
Sensing Abel charging from the side, the monster leapt into the air, distancing itself from the group.
Abel drew back his weapon as he regrouped with the others.
"Are you okay?" Abel asked.
"HAAA... A little. We can continue fighting. I can see that you fared out well on your end," Executioner Five said, glancing at Abel.
He wondered how Abel had managed to slay the giant-feet rabbits without getting seriously injured, unlike Firestar, who was now out of the battle. He realised that he had been underestimating Abel’s strength.
"Yeah. They aren’t easy to handle. Their speed makes it nearly impossible for an average Level One Hunter to keep up with, but their defences are weak," Abel said, raising his chained battle axe.
Executioner Five nodded, finally understanding the lethality of the weapon in Abel’s hand. He made a mental note to try out one later.
"How about you?" Abel turned to Poison Rose and asked.
"I’m okay. It’s Executioner Five whom we should be most worried about since he had blocked several attacks for my sake," Poison Rose replied.
"It’s nothing. Just doing what any other teammate would’ve done," Executioner Five replied with a smile. But as he attempted to straighten his back, he grunted in pain.
"Are you okay?" Poison Rose instantly placed her bow at her side. She helped him up, checking on his condition.
