Born Without Magic… So What?

Chapter 47: The Puppets Awaken

After three days...

The market area had become much busier than before.

A massive circus-like tent had been built in the middle of the market.

Inside that huge tent, Arya and the other guards were standing on duty.

The entire place was heavily guarded.

Inside, there were countless steel cages lined up in rows.

Every cage held slaves.

Some cages had three or four slaves inside.

Some had only one.

In total...

There were more than five hundred slaves locked inside the tent.

Most of them quietly sat on the ground with lifeless expressions.

Some had already given up hope.

Arya quietly observed everything while standing on guard.

After some time, his break finally came.

He walked outside the tent.

As he looked around the market, he saw slaves of many different races.

There were humans...

Beastkin...

And several other races.

Human slaves were much cheaper.

But Beastkin slaves were sold at much higher prices because many rich nobles preferred buying them.

Arya silently looked around the entire market area.

After walking a little farther away from the guards, he stopped where no one was paying attention to him.

Then he quietly activated his Telepathy.

He contacted Miyuki.

After speaking with her for a short time, he learned her current location.

Without wasting any more time...

Arya quietly left the market area and headed toward the place where Miyuki was staying.

Then, when he reached the room where Miyuki was staying, he quietly knocked on the door.

A few seconds later...

The door slowly opened from the inside.

The moment Arya looked at her, he froze for a second.

She looked completely different.

She now looked like an adult girl.

Her appearance had completely changed.

Her hair was dark green, and even the clothes she was wearing were different from before.

For a brief moment...

Arya thought he had knocked on the wrong room.

Even his System couldn’t detect her real identity.

Arya was about to turn around and leave.

Before he could take another step...

She suddenly called out,

"Arya, stop."

Arya immediately stopped and turned back.

She smiled lightly and said,

"You really didn’t recognize me?"

"This ring’s power is on a whole different level now."

Only then did Arya realize it was Miyuki.

He quietly entered the room.

After he went inside, Miyuki closed the door.

Arya looked at her again before saying,

"If you change your form like this..."

"Even I can’t recognize you."

"My power couldn’t recognize you either."

Miyuki nodded.

"Yes."

"After this ring evolved..."

"Its power reached a completely different level."

She slowly sat down before looking at Arya seriously.

"For today..."

"Our plan has already started."

Before continuing, she looked directly into Arya’s eyes.

"Let me ask one more time."

"Are you really sure we have to do this?"

Arya didn’t hesitate even for a second.

"I’m one hundred percent sure."

"Today..."

"They’ll know about us."

Then Arya walked to the front window and looked outside for a few moments.

The streets below were still crowded with people moving around as if nothing was about to happen.

Then he slowly looked back at Miyuki.

His expression became unusually serious.

Then he said,

"Today..."

"Something will happen that this world will remember in history."

He became silent for a moment before speaking again.

"I know this is wrong."

"But in this world..."

"It’s do or die."

"If you don’t kill them..."

"One day they’ll come back and kill you."

"No matter how much mercy you show..."

"In the end, they’ll still try to kill you."

"Because this is a world where people only want to control others..."

"Not be controlled by someone else."

"Those who have greater magic power..."

"Will always become targets."

"Some want your power."

"Some are jealous."

"And some simply hate seeing others become stronger than themselves."

"That’s why..."

"People here don’t hesitate before killing someone."

"They don’t even feel guilty."

"Then why should you feel pain for them?"

He slowly clenched his fist.

"That’s why..."

"Become strong."

"Because if you want to make your dream come true..."

"You’ll have to kill others."

"Without that..."

"You’ll never achieve your dream."

"No matter how many lives you live in this world."

His eyes remained fixed outside the window.

There wasn’t even the slightest hesitation in his voice anymore.

Then Miyuki remained silent.

Because she had already made her choice.

No matter what Arya decided to do...

She would follow him until the very end.

Arya looked at her once before saying,

"At exactly 12 PM..."

"Our plan will begin."

"And don’t forget what I told you before."

After saying that, he didn’t wait for a reply.

He quietly left the room.

A white light flashed for an instant as he used his Teleport skill.

The next moment...

Arya returned to the slave market tent.

He calmly walked inside as if nothing had happened.

One of the guards looked at him and asked,

"Where have you been until now?"

Arya answered without changing his expression.

"It was my break."

"I just went to look around the area."

The guard simply nodded and didn’t ask anything else.

Arya returned to his position.

He and the other guard stood a short distance away from the slave cages, quietly watching everything.

That was their duty.

Because only a few hours later...

Many nobles, wealthy merchants, and rich people would arrive there to buy slaves.

The entire market was already being prepared for their arrival.

A few hours later...

The slave sale finally began.

Outside the massive tent, many horse carriages carrying noble family symbols slowly arrived one after another.

Wealthy merchants, nobles, and rich people stepped down from their carriages before entering the tent to buy slaves.

Inside the tent, the atmosphere became noisy.

The buyers walked from one cage to another, carefully checking every slave.

Some observed their appearance.

Some checked their bodies.

Others asked about their age, race, and condition before making a decision.

Beside them, another man was introducing each slave to the nobles, explaining their background and value while recommending the best ones.

The guards remained alert around the cages, watching every movement in case any slave tried to escape or caused trouble.

On the other side...

In another kingdom...

At the Lord’s base, where Arya and the other guards had stayed for one night...

Everything was completely silent.

Then...

The eyes of many soldiers slowly turned black.

One after another...

They all became completely still.

They stood there like lifeless bodies.

None of them moved.

None of them spoke.

They simply kept staring straight ahead without even blinking.
