Eternal Life: My Talent Increases by 1 Point Every Day

Chapter 348 - 220: Two Demons Contend (4)

Fang Yue offered a small smile and casually invented a backstory. "I’m from the south. I’ve been traveling and just ended up here."

Hearing this, the shopkeeper’s eyes lit up. He spoke with great enthusiasm, "Well now, we don’t see many guests from the south! Our town may be remote, but the local culture and scenery are one of a kind. If you’re interested, sir, why not stay a few more days and really take it all in?"

Fang Yue nodded in agreement. He truly had no plans to rush his departure from the small town; its tranquility and harmony made him feel comfortable and at ease.

Moreover, the flow of Primordial Qi within his body was growing more and more active. It felt as if he could break through to a new realm at any moment.

For the next several days, Fang Yue decided to simply rent a small cottage in town and settle in.

During the day, he would wander through town, discussing Martial Arts and sharing hunting tips with the local hunters. At night, he would return to his cottage to practice his Martial Arts and contemplate the Dao of nature.

Though this life was simple and uneventful, it left Fang Yue feeling more fulfilled and satisfied than ever before.

His state of mind grew more peaceful and serene, and his understanding of the Martial Dao deepened.

Before he knew it, a full month had passed since Fang Yue arrived in the small town.

One morning, as he was taking his usual stroll through town, he suddenly felt a powerful aura emanating from the distant mountain range.

The aura was both powerful and mysterious, and it made Fang Yue’s heart skip a beat. He knew it was the fluctuating presence of a nearby master.

A thought stirred in Fang Yue’s mind. ’Could there be a hidden master or some precious treasure emerging here?’

His curiosity piqued, he decided to go and investigate.

He immediately bid farewell to the teahouse owner and the hunters, shouldered his pack, and set off into the depths of the mountain range.

The deeper he went, the stronger the fluctuations of the aura became, as if guiding him forward.

Fang Yue traversed jungles and climbed over ridges, all the while chasing the fluctuations of that mysterious aura. His heart filled with anticipation and curiosity, wondering what exactly awaited him.

After trekking for half a day, Fang Yue finally arrived at a hidden valley deep within the mountains. The environment was serene, with lush mountains and clear water—a true paradise.

And the mysterious, fluctuating aura was indeed emanating from this very valley.

Fang Yue concealed himself and crept toward the mouth of the valley, hiding in a thicket of dense bushes to observe the two Demon Beasts.

He saw that the two Demon Beasts were a pitch-black, single-horned Giant Rhino and a snow-white Flying Tiger with its wings unfurled.

Each occupied one side of the valley in a tense standoff, clearly fighting for control of the territory.

The Giant Rhino’s horn glinted with a cold light. With a low roar, it charged violently at the Flying Tiger. The Flying Tiger beat its wings once and leaped nimbly into the air, dodging the Giant Rhino’s attack.

The two beasts launched into a ferocious battle in the valley, their roars shaking the heavens and their power simply astonishing.

Fang Yue held his breath, his gaze fixed and intense as he watched the shocking battle unfold.

The Giant Rhino’s horn was like a razor-sharp blade. Every swing whistled through the air, seeming to tear it apart. The Flying Tiger, meanwhile, used its wings to its advantage, flipping nimbly through the air to constantly evade the Giant Rhino’s attacks while searching for an opportunity to strike back.

The battle reached a fever pitch. Both creatures moved faster and faster, their attacks growing stronger and stronger.

The Giant Rhino’s horn carved deep gouges into the ground, while the Flying Tiger’s claws left streaks of afterimages in the air.

Suddenly, the Flying Tiger dove from the sky, tucking in its wings and shooting toward the Giant Rhino like a sharp arrow.

Showing no weakness, the Giant Rhino met the charge with its horn. The two collided mid-air with a deafening crash.

The force of the impact sent a tremor through the surrounding air, and Fang Yue felt a powerful shockwave wash over him.
