Knotting His Rejected Breeder

RAMONS POV

I felt my wolf take over. I couldn’t stop it anymore.

I was still in my human form, but every part of my body had shifted. My eyes glowed deep red. My claws stretched long and sharp in front of me. My canines pushed out, ready to taste blood. One step at a time, I began to walk toward Ferins. Every wolf that stood in my way hit the ground before they could lift a weapon. I was in beast mode, and no one could stop me from reaching him.

I watched that stupid smile stay on his face. He looked confident he would leave this place victorious. I was confident that even if he won, he would not live to celebrate. Before I died, I would kill him first.

More wolves surrounded me. Even more trickled in from the trees. I was not surprised by their numbers anymore. Over the years, Ferins had gathered an army bigger than any other pack. He also had warriors from different packs on his side. The fact I was still standing showed how hard I had fought. He knew that. That was probably why he smiled.

I growled loud into the air as one wolf leaped toward me. I caught him by the neck. My claws dug deep into his skin. Blood poured out. His cry of pain filled my ears. It fed something dark inside me. I was out for blood, and no one would be spared.

"Alpha Ramon!" a familiar voice called.

I didn’t need to turn to feel their presence. Blane had arrived, and with him came some of my strongest warriors. I kept my eyes on Ferins. His smile finally faded. He knew we would not back down without a real fight.

My steps toward Ferins grew faster. Now my wolves fought beside me. He dropped to his knees just before I reached him. When he rose again, he was in full alpha mode. His growl shook the ground. Leaves fell from the trees around us.

"Ramon, you’re dead!" he howled, lunging forward.

I leaped into the air too. As soon as my feet touched the ground, we grabbed each other’s shoulders. The earth convulsed beneath us.

"Yield!" he growled.

"Never!" I growled back.

His hand pulled back and slammed his fist into my face. Pain exploded across my cheek. Blood filled my mouth.

"Yield, you bastard!" he ordered again.

"Never!" I answered, landing a punch of my own.

We battled hard. We dragged each other from the open ground down to the dirt. For an old man, he was strong. Jack had been nothing compared to him. No wonder Ferins had defeated so many packs. They say the strength of an alpha shows in his pack. I knew what I was facing, but I was still willing to fight until the end.

"Ramon! I say, yield!" He caught me by the neck and wrung me like a chicken. My lungs burned. I could barely breathe. Blood covered my face. I still refused to give up.

I lifted my legs and kicked him hard. His grip loosened. I twisted free and howled into the air, pulling fresh strength into my body.

The more we fought, the farther we moved from the main battle. His wolves kept coming. I kept knocking them down. My body ached. Cuts burned across my chest and arms. Blood ran warm down my skin. But I kept moving.

Ferins laughed. "Your father was just as weak. No, he was weaker than you, Ramon. It’s a lot more fun watching you hold on for as long as you have. I’m sure you have such heavy faith. You’ll defeat me, and your name will be written in the history books." He broke into mocking laughter. "Such utter nonsense!" He spat on the ground.

"And you?" I asked, breathing hard. "What gives you the audacity to think you can beat me? Your thousands of warrior wolves? Are you hoping that when you’re too weak to move, they’ll come to your aid?" I imitated his mocking laugh.

"I think I’ve been too kind to you," he said. The laughter left his eyes. "It’s time for us to fight like real wolves."

Right in front of me, he shifted. His bones cracked loud. Fur burst across his body. He grew huge. His eyes glowed with pure hate. He was supposed to be an old, frail man. How could he be this big?

He growled. The forest leaves floated around us. I took a step back. Reality hit me hard. I was still confident I could kill him, but the feeling was not as strong as before.

I closed my eyes. I called on the guidance of my ancestors, whose blood still cried out for justice. Then I shifted. My wolf form tore through me. I dropped to all fours. A massive black wolf now stood where the man had been. My eyes glowed red. I lunged forward.

He attacked first. His weight slammed me to the ground before I could fully steady myself. He pinned me down. His jaws snapped close to my throat. He growled again, demanding I yield. I pushed back with everything I had. Nothing would make me yield. I would fight until my last breath.

He moved back and jumped on me again. His claws raked across my side. Pain burned hot. I rolled hard and got free. I bit into his leg. Blood filled my mouth. He howled in pain and shook me off.

We circled each other. Our growls mixed with the sounds of the bigger battle around us. Wolves crashed together. Claws slashed. The ground shook with every move. The smell of blood and dirt hung heavy in the air.

Ferins lunged again. I met him head on. We slammed into each other. Our bodies crashed hard. We rolled across the ground, tearing at each other. His claws dug into my back. I bit into his shoulder. We both roared in pain and anger.

He was strong. Older, but still powerful. His eyes showed years of hate. I showed him mine right back. For my father. For my pack. For Sonia. For everything he had taken.

"Yield!" he growled again, pinning me down once more.

"Never!" I answered, pushing up with all my strength.

I threw him off. He landed hard. I jumped on him. My claws raked across his chest. Blood poured out. He howled loud. The sound shook the trees.

I held him down. My jaws hovered over his throat. One bite and it would be over. Ferins looked up at me. His breathing came fast. His eyes showed fear for the first time.

"Do it," he whispered. "End it."

I hesitated for one second. The wolf in me wanted blood. The man in me wanted justice. I growled low. My jaws closed.
