Chapter 230
Chapter 230
"Strange guy..."
Rebecca watched Rorschach’s figure disappear into the distance, her hands unconsciously pressing against her chest as her face turned red.
"But I’m not the type to just obediently follow along after hearing some cool lines."
She didn’t stay behind as Rorschach had suggested. Instead, she turned and ran off to find the toy soldier who had raised her.
Earlier, when Rorschach had released his Conqueror’s Haki over the city, Rebecca had also felt that overwhelming pressure. However, because he had spread it across such a wide area, the intensity was lower than usual. She had managed to endure it through sheer willpower — a level of mental strength far above most of the other gladiators in the Colosseum.
After leaving the Colosseum, Rorschach flew straight toward the high ground.
Pica, after receiving Trebol’s message, had already merged his body into one of the massive stone pillars. This was the highest point in all of Dressrosa, making it the best vantage point for searching.
No matter how hard he looked, however, he couldn’t find any trace of the intruder. This only made him more anxious and irritated.
"Hey, big guy. Look over here."
Suddenly, a voice called out near him.
In his current state, Pica had formed a giant face on the rock surface to scout the area while keeping his real body hidden inside the stone.
"Hm?"
Pica’s eyes scanned left and right but saw nothing. He thought he had imagined it.
But then the voice came again.
"Aren’t you looking for me? I’m right here."
This time, he clearly heard where the voice was coming from.
He slowly tilted his gaze upward — and saw Rorschach floating in the sky above him.
"So you’re the one who invaded the Donquixote Family’s territory, huh?! You’ve turned this place into a mess... You must be prepared to die!"
Pica’s voice came out sharp and grating, completely mismatched with his massive appearance. Rorschach couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
He had already heard this voice in the original story, but experiencing it in person was something else entirely.
"You bastard!!"
Pica’s eyes turned blood-red with rage.
A giant face made of stone emerged from the rock wall. More stone quickly formed a torso and arms. Within moments, an enormous stone giant stood before Rorschach.
Its size far exceeded even the legendary Giant race. While the shortest giants were around twelve meters tall and the tallest reached only a few dozen meters, Pica’s fist alone was nearly fifty meters wide. His full height was close to a thousand meters.
To him, real giants would look like newborn babies.
"You will pay the price for what you’ve done!"
The massive stone giant clenched its fist. Its eyes glowed with the same red light as its real ones.
A punch powerful enough to send a giant flying came straight at Rorschach.
"Interesting."
Instead of dodging, Rorschach stopped laughing and raised both hands, clearly intending to take the attack head-on.
Boom!
Contrary to Pica’s expectations, his fist didn’t turn Rorschach into paste. Instead, it felt like he had punched an unbreakable steel wall. The impact force rebounded and shattered a large portion of his own arm.
"Ugh?!"
Pica stared in shock at his broken stone arm. He couldn’t understand why his fist had been the one to break.
Of course, since this arm was made from his Devil Fruit ability, he could simply absorb more stone to regenerate it. It wasn’t a real injury.
He tried to pull in more stone to repair his arm and trap Rorschach inside it, but a tremendous force interrupted him.
His body, which had been firmly connected to the ground, was suddenly floating in the air. He had lost contact with the earth.
"Your strength is decent, but your durability is too low. This level of stone body isn’t even enough to scratch an itch."
Rorschach stood on the broken stone arm, laughing as he used his Float-Float Fruit ability.
Then, with a sudden burst of strength, he grabbed the nearly thousand-meter-tall stone giant and hurled it into the sky like it weighed nothing.
The giant spun helplessly through the air before Rorschach slammed it down toward the sparsely populated fields on the other side of the Royal Plateau.
BOOM!
The massive body crashed into the ground, creating a huge crater and kicking up a cloud of dust and debris.
Pica’s stone giant crumbled apart from the impact.
Rorschach had deliberately avoided smashing it into the city itself. There were still many unconscious civilians below, and he planned to take the entire city with him later. He had no interest in pointless slaughter.
"Ugh... cough..."
Pica, heavily injured, pushed aside the rubble and climbed out of the wreckage. He stared at Rorschach with bloodshot, furious eyes.
"You bastard... You’re definitely not some nobody. That strange feeling just now... it was like gravity disappeared from my body."
"You’re that ’Golden Lion II’ — Rorschach! Only the user of the Float-Float Fruit could do something like that!"
The beating had finally cleared his head. Now that his rage had subsided, he began to think rationally.
No good... I can’t beat this monster alone. I have to report this to the Young Master immediately!
Pica gritted his teeth. This wasn’t the time to act tough. He needed to escape.
The gap in power was simply too large. They stood no chance against Rorschach.
He had personally witnessed the might of a true Emperor. Even the Young Master couldn’t gain the upper hand against that level of destructive power. Just thinking about it made Pica shudder.
Having made his decision, Pica began to petrify his body, intending to merge back into the ground. Once he returned to the castle, he would immediately contact Doflamingo through a Den Den Mushi.
"Hm? Trying to run?"
Rorschach’s Observation Haki instantly picked up on his intention. The corner of his mouth curled upward.
Lightning began crackling in his palm.
"Divine Judgment!"
A bolt of red lightning shot out from Rorschach’s hand.
Dark clouds had unknowingly gathered in the sky. The lightning merged into them and spread rapidly, forming a violent thundercloud within moments.
Then, a massive bolt of lightning descended from the thundercloud and struck directly at Pica, who had already begun merging back into the stone.
