Pirate: I'm! Golden Lion Jr

Chapter 229

Chapter 229

Clap. Clap.

Rorschach patted the dust off his hands.

These people couldn’t even serve as a warm-up.

One Lightning Kick each was all it took. Right now, Rorschach finally understood how satisfying it must feel for Kizaru to take down a Supernova with a single kick.

Beating people up like this really was quite enjoyable.

"Still not coming out?"

After dealing with them, Rorschach spoke toward the empty Corrida Colosseum.

The arena was completely silent. Only the wind gently blew through the wreckage. There was no sign of anyone still conscious.

"Heh... Still not coming out? You thought I didn’t notice you?"

Rorschach shook his head with a helpless smile.

Whoosh.

The moment he finished speaking, his figure appeared at the entrance of a corridor around the corner.

This was the passage used by the gladiators.

Standing in front of Rorschach was a woman with an explosive figure, wearing extremely revealing golden armor that only covered her vital areas. She wore an ancient Roman-style helmet, a green cape, and golden boots, while holding a sword and shield.

Through the pink hair spilling out from under her helmet, Rorschach immediately recognized her.

It was the princess of this country — Rebecca.

This discovery suddenly made him want to tease her a little.

"He disappeared?!"

Rebecca, who had been watching Rorschach, widened her eyes in shock.

A strong sense of unease welled up inside her.

At that moment, Rorschach deliberately made a small noise without hiding his presence.

Rebecca was so startled that she jumped back several steps from her original position.

When she turned around, she saw Rorschach standing right where she had just been.

She immediately raised her sword and shield, staring at him in silence. She didn’t ask any questions.

From the earlier conversation between the executives, she already knew who Rorschach was. However, since she had no connection with him, she didn’t understand what he wanted.

"Don’t be so nervous."

Rorschach took a few steps closer. His posture and movements gave off a relaxed, leisurely feeling.

Yet this only made Rebecca more tense. The pressure was overwhelming.

"I have nothing to do with Doflamingo’s family."

Rebecca kept retreating cautiously while keeping her eyes locked on Rorschach, maintaining what she considered a "safe" distance.

"I know."

Rorschach continued approaching with a smile, and Rebecca continued backing away.

Eventually, her back hit the wall. Her nervousness increased, but she still kept her eyes fixed on him.

Slap.

Rorschach placed his hand heavily on the wall beside her head.

From a distance, it looked exactly like a scene from a campus romance drama where the domineering CEO corners the timid heroine.

"I’m just a gladiator. I won’t get in the way of your plans. So... could you please let me go?"

Rebecca lightly bit her lower lip, her expression tense.

She knew she couldn’t win. Rorschach’s reputation had already reached her ears.

Someone of his level... even Doflamingo might not be able to handle him. The most rational choice was to surrender.

"Don’t worry. I won’t hurt you," Rorschach said with a light laugh.

He then reached out his hand. Rebecca flinched like she had been shocked and pressed herself further against the wall. Her helmet made a dull sound as it hit the stone.

She had already closed her eyes in nervousness.

The next moment, she felt something loosen on her head — a feeling of restraint being released.

When she opened her eyes, she saw Rorschach’s smiling face. In his hand was her helmet.

"You’re very beautiful. With such a pretty face, it’s really a waste for you to be fighting as a gladiator here."

Rorschach casually tossed the helmet aside.

Rebecca’s face turned bright red. She didn’t know what to say.

Rorschach gave off the feeling of a gentle older brother, but when he lightly lifted her chin and looked into her eyes, there was also a hint of mischief.

From what he just said... was he interested in her?

She glanced down at her own figure — one that looked overly mature because of years of sword training — and unconsciously felt that she wasn’t good enough for him.

She had a body far more developed than girls her age, which made her feel somewhat self-conscious.

In the Colosseum, she often heard crude remarks from other gladiators, which only reinforced her belief.

Yet Rorschach’s words sounded almost like a confession. Caught completely off guard, she was left stunned.

"Don’t... don’t joke around. Men all prefer young and pretty girls, right? Someone like me... how could anyone like someone so different?"

Right now, Rebecca still didn’t understand the charm of her mature figure. It would probably take another couple of years for her to realize that it wasn’t something to be looked down on — in fact, many people were extremely envious of it.

Rebecca lowered her head, her face flushed, not daring to meet Rorschach’s eyes.

"Different? You mean this?" Rorschach asked with mild surprise. He then gently pinched and continued, "Unfortunately for you, if this is considered ’different,’ then I happen to like ’different.’ You’re exactly my type."

Rorschach lightly lifted Rebecca’s chin, a teasing smile on his face as he slowly leaned down.

At that moment, Rebecca’s reaction was intense.

She pushed Rorschach away and quickly backed up several steps, clutching her chest while breathing heavily.

"Um... I’m sorry. I still have things I need to do, so I can’t accept your feelings."

Rebecca’s face was bright red as she spoke firmly.

"Alright~~ But you don’t have to reject me so quickly. We’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other from now on."

Seeing her strong reaction, Rorschach decided to back off for now. Pushing too hard might make her dislike him.

"Actually, I didn’t just come here because of Doflamingo. I also came here for you."

"I accepted a request to come and rescue you."

Rorschach’s expression turned serious as he spoke.

"A request? Rescue?!"

Rebecca was once again confused.

"It’s hard to explain right now."

"But your enemy should be that guy hanging in the middle of the arena, right? He’s the one who killed your mother. Don’t you want to go over and stab him a couple more times? I won’t stop you."

The "request" naturally came from Viola, though Rorschach didn’t bother explaining that.

Instead, he pointed toward Diamante, who was crucified in the center of the arena.

"No need! I want to defeat him with my own strength!"

Looking at her former enemy hanging there like a dead dog, Rebecca hesitated for a moment before speaking with determination.

The current Rebecca was still somewhat stubborn. Even though her enemy was already in this state, she didn’t want to take advantage of the situation. She wanted to defeat him properly and fairly.

She believed that was the only way to truly avenge her mother with her own power.

"Whatever you want. I’ll explain everything after I finish dealing with those guys. For now, just stay here and wait for me to come back."

Seeing her attitude, Rorschach shrugged and didn’t push further. He turned around and floated into the sky.

He planned to round up the remaining Donquixote Family executives first — as his "return gift" to Doflamingo.

Then, he would take the entire city of Dressrosa with him.

This prosperous city had plenty of resources. Rorschach had no reason to let it go. This was the perfect opportunity to take control of it.
