DxD: The Holy Knight!

Chapter 94: Sitri clan's actions

"Rias, your outfit was nice. It's a shame you had to change out of it."

The heavy atmosphere in the living room gradually eased after Yasuhiro and Gabriel left.

A heavy weight was finally lifted off everyone, especially Kuroka.

After Gabriel left, the nekomata returned to her usual lazy self, claiming an entire sofa and lying across it alone.

"Sona, stop making fun of me. Besides, you have been changed by Yasuhiro too," Rias said weakly.

She had already changed out of the maid outfit and put her usual Kuoh academy uniform back on.

Wearing that maid outfit had really embarrassed her in front of the girls.

While Gabriel was around, they didn't dare to talk about it but after the angel left, their whispers made Rias blush.

Ruruko even whispered things about how bold Rias was to go out in clothes like that.

Today was so eventful, it felt like a whole month of events had been crammed into a single day.

"Honestly, even though lady Gabriel is so gentle and treats us devils equally."

"I don't know why but I can't help feeling nervous in her presence." Reya said with a bitter expression.

Tomoe and the others nodded in agreement.

"Those in positions of power often carry this unusual pressure."

"Even if she didn't unleash it, her identity as one of the four seraphs of heaven was enough to pressure us from the bottom of our hearts."

"It's like when we devils meet the four maous."

"We become extremely cautious in our words and actions as long as we know their identities," Tsubaki explained.

"A very reasonable and appropriate explanation."

"Even though lady Gabriel is gentle, she is not someone we can afford to disrespect," Sona warned.

The council members understood what Sona meant and nodded in response.

"Sona, about your clan and their recent situation," Rias trailed off, having clearly obtained some information.

"Ever since my clan found out about my relationship with Yasuhiro."

"After a period of silence, they have been frantically trying to get me to return home."

"I have refused time and time again, and their attitude has become increasingly serious."

"I believe that before long, they will use force to compel me to go back." Sona said with some worry.

Not only her parents, but even her sister Serafall stood against her this time.

The reasons were obvious to everyone.

Tsubaki and the others looked at Sona with worried expressions.

They all knew more or less about the situation, but Yasuhiro was the only one kept in the dark.

It wasn't that they were deliberately hiding it from him, they just didn't want this pleasant time to be ruined by sorrow.

"I'm afraid that no one in the entire underworld will stand by your side this time."

"I have heard that the bael clan has been having unusually frequent interactions with the sitri clan recently, which is rather strange," Rias revealed.

As a relative of the bael clan through her mother, it was easy for her to obtain such information.

"The bael clan?" Sona had already guessed her family and their plan but she didn't expect the clan they chose to deal with would be the bael clan.

"Things are even more difficult now."

"Nya, instead of worrying about those things, you also have troubles to deal with next." Kuroka finally dragged her exhausted body up from the sofa.

She glanced at Sona and Rias, and then without saying anything more, carried Koneko upstairs.

"This annoying neko," Tomoe glared fiercely at the figure of Kuroka disappearing up the stairs.

Her resentment towards the nekomata had been building up for a while.

"Rias, there is no need to worry about Yasuhiro acting recklessly."

"However, it is still best to be prepared, as this area is jointly managed by the sitri and gremory clans," Sona noted.

Gabriel and Yasuhiro had left to visit the abandoned church in Kuoh, which had been taken over by fallen angels.

During their conversation, Gabriel learned that a church had become a den for fallen angels, which greatly displeased her.

Part of her displeasure stemmed from the long term neglect of the local church and allowing their holy ground to be wantonly tarnished by fallen angels.

Though the biggest issue was Yasuhiro and his inaction.

Knowing that the local church had been occupied by fallen angels, he still allowed them to act recklessly in his territory.

Gabriel took charge of the situation and marched him out the door by force to deal with it.

That scene gave Rias the satisfying feeling that the tables had finally turned.

She had been dragged around by Yasuhiro all day but now it was his turn to be dragged along, which made her feel gratified.

These feelings could only be expressed in her heart.

She hadn't forgotten her temporary role as his maid.

The punishment time wasn't over yet.

It was a full twenty four hours, meaning it wouldn't end until tomorrow morning.

She didn't want Yasuhiro to find any fault with her again and use it as an excuse to bully her once more.
