High in the sky, Rias grew increasingly alarmed as the fight continued. It wasn't a matter of having the upper hand or being at a disadvantage in battle.

Rather, she noticed that Akeno's power of light was fundamentally different from the one wielded by fallen angels which carried a subtle taint of corruption from their fall.

On the contrary, Akeno's was too pure. It felt somewhat similar to Yasuhiro's power.

If a direct comparison had to be made, it felt exactly the same as the power of light she had sensed from angels stationed at the border of the underworld when she was just a child.

She was startled by her own speculation.

She quickly shook her head, banishing the highly unrealistic idea from her mind.

As a result of her momentary distraction, a few strands of hair on her forehead were cut off by Akeno's attack.

Rias was immediately furious.

Ignoring all of her previous doubts and speculation, she launched a fierce counterattack against Akeno.

In Rias's view, Akeno's power of light must have mutated after merging with her lightning.

As for the angel theory, she didn't believe it for a second.

The master and servant connection between the evil pieces was still there, so how could she possibly have become an angel?

The world was full of wonders.

The more impossible something seems, the greater the chance it actually has of happening.

Just like right now, Rias didn't entertain the thought that Akeno had become an angel.

She simply felt that Akeno's power of light was somewhat similar to angels.

She had forgotten about the brave saint cards that Yasuhiro had created even though she had personally witnessed them.

Perhaps Rias never believed that the brave saint cards created by Yasuhiro could transform Akeno into angel.

After all, when Akeno was reincarnated as a devil, only her human half was transformed.

The remaining fallen angel part remained unchanged.
