Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities

Chapter 240: Omnipresent?

"So I just succumb to her will? Or kill her? That’s really what you’re telling me?" Jacob furrowed his brows and sighed out loud. He could not believe that a being of the Regulator’s magnitude could not give him a solution to such a simple problem.

"Well, you can ignore the matter. You would understand later." The Regulator spoke again. "It was lovely to hear from you, Jacob. If there are no more questions, then I will take my leave."

"I have no further questions, Your Honor. Frankly, I would just like a peaceful night’s rest. I need to be sharp for tomorrow."

"Granted."

With that, the Regulator was gone in a flash, the same way he had appeared. Jacob stayed awake, racking his brain for ways to stop Elyssara from impeding his progress in the tower. But after coming up with about ten million ideas, he gave up on every single one of them and just decided to do it the old-fashioned way.

He did not even know when he fell asleep, drifting into the dark and quietness of the Tower of Sun.

He awoke the next morning like an infant who had been put to sleep while suckling on its mother’s teat. He yawned languorously and stretched his arms outwards.

In the Tower of Sun, there was no day or night in the normal sense. Time was measured by how bright or dim the golden lights spread across the sky were. There was no evidence that it was a sun or not. It was just a light that grew brighter the farther they got into the day, and dimmer once it was time to rest.

This had always been the schedule, and so all the fighters would grow accustomed to it over time, since it was rather similar to the time wherever they came from.

Jacob got up, and in less than 30 minutes, he had left the room, ready to continue his journey in the Tower of Sun.

He manifested the black, portable door and walked through it, immediately finding himself in the lobby where millions of competitors were already training and getting ready.

The way the tower behaved suggested that the Grand Regent and most constellations had the power of omnipresence, as they were able to watch multiple battles at once.

The ways of the tower could not be understood easily, but it was very obvious that this was no normal place. No normal place could be designed in such a way. This tower could only have been designed by someone—or something—on par with the Regulator.

Jacob quietly got into a lotus position and closed his eyes. He wasn’t meditating or cultivating. He was replaying every single fighting technique he had ever learned in his memory, glossing over every attack, counterattack, defense technique, and maneuver technique that he had ever learned in the Library of Life.

He was also in Kalgin, simulating these techniques with multiple clones of himself. Physical power was very appreciated in the tower, and as such, any other type of ability or prowess would only be additional, to give the fighter an edge.

He believed he had an advantage when it came to this because, from childhood, he had already been immune to physical pain. It was one of the perks of his adaptability, which never allowed a single attack to work on him twice. Therefore, attacks like punches, slaps, stabs, kicks, and the like would never work on him for as long as he lived. That was the advantage he possessed.

"Good morning, Jacob." A familiar voice spoke. This voice sounded as though it were a hundred voices drowning behind a single one. It was Uga, who had manifested from nowhere and was now standing before Jacob with that endless look on its face.

Jacob was too engrossed in his sparring sessions with his clones that he hadn’t noticed Uga’s presence. His main body, which was split into Kalgin, was fighting about seven of his clones at once. He dodged and weaved; their attacks did nothing to impede him as he managed to knock each and every one of them down as easily as fighting a child.

At first, Jacob found it particularly weird, the phenomenon of fighting one’s self, much less fighting about seven identical versions of one’s self. But he had soon grown to embrace it, as it really helped with his physical development. When he took Heimdall’s skill and evolved it into , he had been really pleased because that skill gave him the ability to not only increase the impact of his punches, but infinitely. So, at his current stage, he could punch a large mountain to pieces.

Coupled with his other skills, he was unstoppable whenever he was attacking, and if he added to his punches, the impact alone was enough to kill anyone that currently resided in this tower. Now, with his luck that defied the cosmos, there was no way that he could be stopped.

Jacob opened his eyes to find Uga’s face within 3–4 inches of his and flinched immediately, drawing himself backwards in mild shock.

"Uga!" Jacob exclaimed.

"I thought you were somewhere in there. How was your rest?"

"It was good." Jacob had returned to his usual mood and calmed down for the most part.

"Well, are you ready to face your opponents for today?" Uga inquired. For the first time, Jacob noticed that the being blinked its endless eyes.

The young man stood up and dusted off the rear end of his undergarments, then rubbed his hands together, manifesting a rubber as he tied his long hair into a sleek ponytail.

"Oh, I’m ready, Uga." Jacob smiled instinctively as a black door portal manifested in front of them, and they both stepped into the arena for the umpteenth time.

Jacob looked out into the crowd, and the first person he noticed was Elyssara, fanning herself and looking down at him with what he thought was the most seductive gaze he had ever seen.

He turned his head around, and he locked eyes with her again. On the other end of the crowd stood Elyssara. He blinked twice and dismissed the thought that she had somehow been in two places at once.

Now he would focus on his fight.

Now he would focus on his goal.
