Chapter 213: Lecture Day
"Lady Allicent!" Rin screamed as he quickly withdrew his fist, and arranged his sleeve properly, bowing his head in reverence to the small woman. She smiled and patted his right shoulder, but not in a playful way. She did so in a way that made Rin break into a nervous pool of sweat, as she rarely ever touched him.
He felt the weight of her aura crash down on him like a giant boulder, too heavy for him to handle.
"What have I told you about drama, Rin?" She asked in a casual tone, her hand squeezing tighter on Rin’s shoulder, causing him to wince in pain, but he stayed there, he dared not try to evade her deathly clasp.
"You... you told me to avoid it, Lady Allicent!" He responded like a cadet on his first day in the army as sweat dripped onto the polished floors from his forehead.
"But you didn’t listen to me... tsk tsk! How will I punish you now?" Her clasp grew even tighter and was slowly becoming an unbearable pain for the young man to handle.
"M-My L-Lady... p-punish him instead! H-He.... Ahhh! He s-started it!" The boy had lost control over his tongue, and now found it overwhelmingly difficult to even string together a coherent sentence.
The girl turned her head, and looked at Jacob with a listless expression, but Jacob remained indifferent. He looked down at her as his eyes almost glowed under the morning light spilling through the polished glass windows.
"Come with me, I think I need to teach you a lesson." She turned back to Rin and dragged him by his ear into one of the rooms on the far right. As they passed by Jacob, he could almost see tears rolling down the young man’s cheeks. He found it quite amusing.
The entire crowd watched as the boy who was claiming to be tough not less than a few minutes ago was tamed completely by this strange looking young girl who looked more like she fit in a school for younger kids, than at an academy like this.
Regardless, they went about their day, murmurs erupting within them. Most of them were excited for the first class. Returning disciples were not particularly thrilled, as they’d underwent the same process not too long ago.
Jacob followed, making his way to the classrooms.
***
The classroom was spacious and neatly designed, with rows of polished wooden desks arranged neatly across the room. Large windows lined one side of the walls, sunlight pouring into the room and illuminating the interior, while several crystal lamps provided additional light. At the front stood a wide wooden podium beside a large blackboard covered with faint traces of cultivation diagrams and inscriptions. The walls were decorated with the emblem of Mountain Elite Academy, giving the otherwise simple room a refined and scholarly atmosphere.
There were two classrooms built exactly in this same manner, identical in every way. Jacob quickly realized that he and Violet were not in the same classroom, as Jacob was in class A and Violet was in class B.
Each year had two classrooms to make use of, as those classrooms were spacious enough to contain all students without any one of them feeling left out during lectures.
Jacob figured he would do something, without caring if anyone would realize. With a single thought, he vanished from where he was sitting, without anyone seeing, replaced by an identical clone of himself. There was nothing he could learn in this class that he didn’t already know. And it was not to sound like a know-it-all, but he would much rather spend his time doing fun stuff, or having fun conversations.

Violet sat cross-legged on a wooden desk, tapping her pen lightly on the table and biting her lower lip slightly as her eyes drifted to the entrance more often than she would have liked to admit.
Her long, purple hair was packed neatly in a bun and she wore a brown sleeveless top with a long white skirt.
She had also hoped to be in the same class with Jacob, but for some reason, he just was not there yet. She had already deduced that he was in the other class and decided to lower her expectations. She sighed as she turned her face towards the blackboard.
"Looking for me?" A voice came from beside her, she almost jumped out of her seat as she clutched her chest in shock.
"Wha—don’t scare me like that!" She exclaimed, breathing rather heavily as she lowered her head, chuckling now.
"Hey, I didn’t mean to startle you." Jacob said as he raised his hands, a charming smile tugging at his lips as he turned his gaze tiwards the blackboard as well. "No teacher yet huh?"
"What are you doing here? I thought you were in First Year A." She inquired without even responding to her question, clearly still a little shaken up by his surprise visit. "...And how did you even get here, I didn’t see you walk through the door."
"See! I knew you were looking for me." Jacob laughed as he leaned back and looked at her. She had a face that did not need any form of makeup.
"Get out." She smiled as she turned her face away, her cheeks as red as strawberries, and her heart beating wildly in her chest.
Jacon still had a thought from earlier this morning. Allicent was a difficult person to figure out, her mental wall was very difficult to crack through. Intricate. Something which Jacob found particularly terrifying, and mildly impressive.
He would still have a conversation with her to find out more, more than he already knew. He also thought about Aaaninja, the thought of visiting the Celestial Planet was intriguing on its own, how much more intriguing would it be to learn and perfect whatever power system they possessed in that world?
This entire trip was brimming with possibilities, and Jacob could not help but grin as these possibilities raced through his mind.
"Why are you smiling so hard?" She punched him in the arm.
"You just look really good this morning, you gorgeous nerd." He said, forcing another smile out of her, and then she punched him in the arm again.
