My Magic Has No Upper Limit

Chapter 366 - 319: Trying to Bewitch Me?

"So you weren’t watching?" the man retorted indignantly.

"Is me watching the same as you watching? You’re the one in charge of selling our goods and haggling over the price."

The bearded Adventurer grunted.

"The money she ripped you off for could’ve paid for a girl from the tavern to keep you company for a whole night!"

"I couldn’t help it... I just feel like her Charm is overwhelming."

Zelir’s gaze passed over the two men and into the shop.

The shop’s interior was far more exquisite and refined than its exterior suggested.

Rows of display cases made from precious mahogany were polished until they were spotless.

Inside the cabinets, Magic Potion Bottles filled with colorful liquids emitted a mesmerizing shimmer under the magical lighting.

A few Magic Items also hung on the walls, along with several entry-level Magic Wands resting quietly on velvet cushions.

However, the shopkeeper behind the counter was not what Zelir had expected.

She wasn’t the shrewd, cunning-looking merchant in his forties or fifties he’d imagined.

Instead, she was a stunningly beautiful woman.

She wore a well-tailored, form-fitting silk dress, accentuating her mature and voluptuous curves.

A pair of gold-rimmed glasses rested on the bridge of her nose, adding a touch of intellectual elegance.

This blend of seductive yet modest elements made her all the more alluring.

She seemed to be wearing a vivid red lipstick, making her lips look especially glossy.

The crimson eyeliner at the corners of her eyes was subtly winged, making her appear utterly enchanting.

Most importantly, a daringly deep V-neckline on her dress generously displayed her snow-white cleavage.

The view... was quite eye-catching.

She was simply leaning against the counter, organizing a ledger in her hands.

Yet her every move radiated the unique Charm of a mature woman.

While "femme fatale" might be an overstatement, she could undoubtedly capture the attention of most men.

Like Gray, for instance.

"Whoa..." Gray whispered in amazement.

Even Marcus’s eyes were starting to wander.

"Tch... Marcus, you too...?"

Valles gave the two a look of utter disdain.

Hill merely shot the woman a brief glance before looking away, his expression unchanging.

"Good day, brave Adventurers."

Noticing the customers, the woman’s lips curved into a smile filled with Charm.

Her voice was incredibly sultry.

"Welcome. I’m Mary, the shopkeeper here. How can I help you?"

Her gaze swept over each of their faces, but it lingered on Zelir’s for several seconds.

"Hello, Shopkeeper Mary. We’d like to sell some Magic Plants and Magic Crystals."

Zelir said, "Do you purchase items like that here?"

"Oh...! Of course!"

At the mention of Magic Plants and Magic Crystals, Shopkeeper Mary’s eyes lit up.

"One moment, I’ll go get my appraisal tools. Please place the plants you want to sell on the tray over there."

With that, she swayed her hips and hurried to the back of the shop.

"Could you stop staring at her chest?" Valles said to Gray with a frown.

"Then could you stop staring at me?"

Gray wiped a dribble of drool from the corner of his mouth. "See? This way, you can’t tell what I’m looking at."

Zelir couldn’t be bothered with the two of them.

He took the Magic Plants from his Storage Pouch one by one and placed them on the tray.

The tray was even lined with a layer of expensive Red Velvet Cloth to keep it clean.

This detail alone showed that Shopkeeper Mary knew her Magic Plants.

Besides, Zelir could sense a faint Magic Wave coming from her.

However, the Magic Wave was extremely faint. At most, it was at the Level of a Magic Apprentice, and perhaps not even that.

As he took the Magic Plants from the wooden box one by one, a fresh, botanical aroma filled the shop.

"What an intoxicating scent."

Shopkeeper Mary’s voice rang out from the back of the shop right on cue.

When she walked out, her gold-rimmed glasses had been replaced with a more professional-looking monocle, and she was holding a Crystal Stone the size of a pigeon’s egg.

As her eyes swept over the Magic Plants, the delight on Shopkeeper Mary’s face was plain to see.

She gingerly picked up one of the plants, examining it with care.

Then she pressed the Crystal Stone against the Magic Plant.

HMMMM...

A circle of brilliant light instantly bloomed within the Crystal Stone.

Noticing Zelir’s somewhat quizzical look, Shopkeeper Mary explained with a smile.

"Oh, please don’t worry. This is a special Crystal Stone used to test the essence within Magic Plants. It won’t cause them any harm at all."

"This Vitality Orchid... its quality is quite good."

"And this one... Evening Primrose. I haven’t come across a specimen this good in a very long time."

"The Spiritual Light Potion made from this is a consumable favored by countless Middle High Level Mages!"

"Gale Wind Golden Bell, Ghostly Night-blooming Cereus... Heavens, you even have Firethorn."

Shopkeeper Mary flawlessly identified every Magic Plant by name, and she was even perfectly clear on their uses.

’Her knowledge of Magic Plants is quite extensive.’ Zelir raised an eyebrow slightly.

"So, Shopkeeper Mary, what’s your buying price for these Magic Plants?" Zelir asked.

At the mention of the price, Shopkeeper Mary’s movements faltered for a moment.

Her smile took on a deeper, more meaningful quality.

Instead of quoting a price immediately, she leaned forward slightly.

The rich perfume of a woman’s body silently wafted toward Zelir.

"Judging by your insignia... you’re a Junior Mage, aren’t you? To reach such heights at your age is truly remarkable."

Shopkeeper Mary’s voice was as pleasant as a spring breeze, carrying just the right amount of flattery.

"Unlike me. I’m too dull-witted; I couldn’t even cross the threshold to become a Magic Apprentice."
