Chapter 112: Adorable Dunya Musta'sim
"Pardon the intrusion, Lord Lucian." Dunya Musta'sim looked at Lucian, who was soaking in the crimson waters with only his shoulders exposed, a shy blush painting her cheeks.
"Wah! So hot!!"
Taluvi had intended to massage Lucian's shoulders like usual, but she accidentally touched the Flaming Spring of Life and scalded her hand.
Fortunately, the Flaming Spring of Life only caused pain, not physical harm.
"Lord Lucian, doesn't it hurt?"
Taluvi couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.
"It's fine. It's just right for me,"
Lucian replied calmly.
Since his Seed of Authority had integrated Heavenly Fire, Wrath Flame, and the Fire of Forging, his physical body seemed to have developed a corresponding affinity. To him, there was hardly any discomfort; he could only feel the differing effects between the ice spring and the fire spring.
"That's amazing,"
Taluvi sighed in awe. "I definitely couldn't handle it. I hate pain."
"My body just adapted to it. You make it sound like I'm a masochist." Lucian rested his arms on the edge of the pool and teased, "If it actually hurt, I'd have to be braindead to soak in it."
"Hehehe~"
Taluvi acted cute, smoothly placing her hands on Lucian's shoulders. The lingering water droplets scattered naturally, no longer stinging her.
Beside her, Dunya Musta'sim stood at a loss. Taluvi shifted to the side, making room, and shot her a meaningful look.
Dunya Musta'sim gave Taluvi a grateful glance. Heart pounding with excitement, she mimicked Taluvi and began massaging Lucian's shoulders.
What a firm, resilient body. It feels amazing!
Dunya Musta'sim's face instantly flushed crimson. Her breathing grew rapid as she desperately tried to suppress her shyness.
Whether during her time as a princess or after joining Al-Thamen, this was the first time she had ever "served" a man. Just massaging his shoulders was enough to make the pure maiden so flustered she was ready to faint. Her expression was incredibly adorable.
Watching Dunya Musta'sim's reactions from a top-down perspective, a wave of profound amusement washed over Lucian.
Relaxing after a tiring day while watching a cute girl—this was life's ultimate luxury.
"The Freezing Spring of Life works wonders for relieving fatigue, while the Flaming Spring of Life is exceptionally good at unlocking hidden potential."
Lucian smiled. "Do you think Aiz will want to try both once she finds out?"
As for the regular Spring of Life, it was the most balanced. It restored vitality with high efficiency and, most importantly, was extremely comfortable. Without an affinity for their respective elements, soaking in the ice and fire springs was pure agony.
"That child just pushes herself too hard. It's a shame she can't properly enjoy the pleasures of the Divine Court,"
Taluvi remarked.
Diplomatic translation: She pushes herself too hard. Honest translation: She's too utilitarian.
In truth, everyone who joined the Divine Court harbored some degree of ulterior motives. Lucian didn't mind. After all, they fundamentally lacked a sense of security.
Given enough time—centuries, millennia even—their hearts would eventually settle, and they would come to see the Divine Court as their true home. Aiz would be no exception.
After chatting for a bit, Lucian pulled his arms back.
He stood up, stretching his limbs as his Slime Armament reshaped into clothes, wrapping around him. Lucian stepped out of the fiery spring.
"Shall we go?"
Lucian asked softly. The implication was clear. Since they were here, they might as well leave their friends behind and have some fun.
Unfortunately for him, Taluvi placed a very high value on her friendships. Of course, she also valued her husband immensely. Caught between a rock and a hard place, she opted for the "have your cake and eat it too" approach.
"Lord Lucian, Dunya Musta'sim really admires you, you know."
Taluvi chuckled softly. "The exact same kind of admiration I had back then."
Oh, thank you, Taluvi.
Shyness instantly flooded Dunya Musta'sim's heart, followed closely by immense gratitude toward her best friend. If it had just been her, she would never have gathered the courage to confess, no matter how much she adored him. She would have only watched him from the dark corners like a timid mouse.
A best friend who provides the perfect assist is a best friend for life—or rather, a best friend for the same bed.
"Mind if we join you together?"
Lucian gently cupped Dunya Musta'sim's cheek.
"I don't... mind... Rather, it's exactly what I want."
Noticing Taluvi's encouraging gestures from behind, Dunya Musta'sim gathered her courage and looked earnestly at Lucian. Being with her best friend, all of them living happily ever after—that thought began to take root in her mind.
"Teleport."
Lucian smiled faintly, and they were instantly transported to the bedroom.
Starting with Dunya Musta'sim, Lucian leaned in and gently kissed her lips. Feeling her softness and the deep affection in her heart, satisfaction flickered in Lucian's eyes.
So soft.
Dunya Musta'sim was a few years older than Taluvi, and her figure was undeniably excellent. A tart, unripe apple and a sweet, mature peach—both were absolutely delightful.
"Newcomers go first." Taluvi giggled.
While her actions might be considered highly unorthodox by normal standards, she wasn't exactly a normal person to begin with. She was completely satisfied with the happiness she currently had.
Furthermore, nominally speaking, all the residents of the Divine Court belonged to Lucian. He simply chose not to enforce restrictive rules or control over them.
It was often the most toxic environments that had the most rules. For the majority, making rules wasn't about anything other than restricting others to make things easier for themselves.
When a manager lacked the ability to properly coordinate a team, they would enact a slew of rules to elevate their own power, gripping "legislative power" in one hand and "executive power" in the other, suppressing the group's individuality beneath a heavy, bureaucratic hierarchy.
Lucian didn't need to resort to such tactics. His authority was infinite, and his desire for control wasn't nearly strong enough to warrant suppressing his own residents.
He granted the denizens of the Divine Court complete freedom. As for someone like Dunya Musta'sim, who willingly offered herself, Lucian wouldn't turn her away. Especially someone as fragile as Dunya Musta'sim. Leaving such a beauty to drown in sorrow would be an absolute tragedy.
A bright, sunny future where everyone was happy—like right now—that was the proper way of things.
After devouring Dunya Musta'sim entirely, it was Taluvi's turn.
The two girls possessed completely different styles, giving Lucian an extraordinary experience.
A long time later, when everything finally settled down, Lucian lay back, an arm serving as a pillow for a girl on either side.
"So this is what it means to share a bed?"
Taluvi teased playfully. "How does it feel, Lord Lucian?"
"Incredible~" Lucian casually replied.
"Well, that's wonderful."
Taluvi smiled and added, "But if you wanted, Lord Lucian, you could have even more people join us."
"Let's pass on that. The others don't have the same easygoing personality as you two."
Lucian thought about it before shaking his head. "Besides, if there are too many people, someone inevitably ends up feeling neglected. It's impossible to take care of everyone at once."
"What a gentle way of thinking."
Taluvi laughed softly. "I've heard the Shipgirls discussing how to win your heart, you know."
It was true. As Lucian's creations, the Shipgirls possessed limitless loyalty toward him. Throwing a party with hundreds of them would only require a single word. But that was out of the question. Lucian absolutely would not lay a hand on the Shipgirls anytime soon.
Their personalities were merely "settings." Though defined that way from the start, they would only truly gain a sense of self after experiencing enough of life to make choices of their own free will.
Perhaps this was his integrity as a creator?
Then again, up to this point, the only ones Lucian had definitively claimed were Hephaestus, Taluvi, and Dunya Musta'sim. When he looked at it that way, he was actually quite principled.
For him, this wasn't the entirety of his existence—just a pleasant spice to his daily life. Therefore, Lucian wasn't actually that debauched. Populating the Divine Court with beautiful girls was mostly just for eye candy, and he didn't want to become an arbitrary "cheat code" for countless others without good reason.
