DanMachi: Annihilation Maker in DanMachi World!

Chapter 97: Spirit Transformation and Descent

"Aside from your Vassal Weapons, there's another crucial matter regarding your Djinn Equips," Lucian said, his tone turning slightly more serious. "Have you ever considered... Assimilation?"

"Assimilation?" Scheherazade blinked, slightly taken aback.

"In the Magi universe, a Djinn Equip is achieved by wearing the Djinn's power like a suit of armor," Lucian explained. "While this grants tremendous power, it constantly drains your Magoi and stamina. It's fundamentally impossible to maintain indefinitely."

"However, there is a higher stage. By fully merging your own existence with the Djinn, you can achieve true Assimilation—a state we can call Spirit Transformation."

In the original timeline, characters like Ren Hakuryuu and Sinbad managed to completely assimilate with their Djinn. But to do so, they had to cross a critical threshold: Depravity.

By falling into Depravity, their Rukh turned black, forcefully breaking the safety limitations hardcoded into the world by Ugo. This allowed them to temporarily transcend their human vessels and become a unified entity with their Djinn.

"Falling into Depravity isn't a requirement here," Lucian continued smoothly. "In your world, everything is governed by the flow of Rukh. But you now possess mental power and life energy courtesy of the Falna. By using these forces to replace the Rukh's structural role, you can completely bypass Ugo's systemic limits."

"I've already transmitted the theoretical framework for Spirit Transformation into the central statue's database. When you have the time, you should study it carefully."

"We will." Scheherazade nodded solemnly.

If they could achieve Spirit Transformation, they wouldn't just be borrowing the Djinn's power; they would effectively become the Djinn. Their physical stats, magical capacity, and raw output would experience an explosive, qualitative leap.

"Lord Lucian, are you planning to visit our world soon?" Yamraiha asked, sensing a shift in the conversation.

"Yes," Lucian nodded. "There are a few core issues in your universe that I need to resolve personally. If I leave them alone, they might interfere with our future plans."

"I see... Then please, be careful," Yamraiha said softly.

"There's no need to worry." Lucian smiled faintly.

After ensuring the three girls were settled and fully briefed on their new capabilities, Lucian decided it was time to make his move. The overarching narrative of the Magi universe was incredibly convoluted, heavily reliant on layered dimensions, overlapping gods, and absolute destiny manipulation. If he wanted to secure the Magi universe as a stable, long-term resource for the Divine Court, he had to cut the head off the snake.

"[Dimension Lost]."

Lucian activated his Longinus gear, tapping into the spatial coordinates Scheherazade had provided.

A swirling vortex of white mist enveloped him, and in the next instant, he vanished from the Divine Court.

...

The Kingdom of Sindria.

A brilliant island nation situated in the southern seas, renowned for its booming trade, powerful military, and the charismatic leadership of its founding king.

A subtle distortion rippled through the air within the royal palace's private gardens. Lucian stepped out of the mist, his presence entirely masked from the palace guards.

He didn't have to wait long.

"I heard from Yamraiha that a rather extraordinary individual had taken them under his wing," a deep, confident voice called out.

Lucian turned to see a tall, heavily muscular man adorned in extravagant, foreign silks and an array of elaborate golden jewelry. His long purple hair was tied back, and his golden eyes gleamed with a sharp, calculating intelligence that completely belied his relaxed posture.

It was Sinbad—the High King of the Seven Seas, the singularity of destiny, and the man holding the absolute center of the Magi world's narrative.

"You must be Lucian," Sinbad said, stopping a few paces away. "Yamraiha's reports were incredibly vague, but given how much she respects you, I knew I had to meet you in person."

"The High King of the Seven Seas... Your reputation precedes you," Lucian replied calmly, evaluating the man before him.

Sinbad was charismatic, deeply ambitious, and genuinely wanted to save the world. Unfortunately, his methodology was flawed, and he was currently dancing entirely to the tune of a much higher power without even realizing it.

"I assume you're not here just for a friendly visit," Sinbad smiled, though his gaze remained fiercely analytical. "Yamraiha and the others have gained access to a power entirely alien to this world. And now, you appear right inside my heavily warded palace."

"I'm here to solve a problem," Lucian stated bluntly. "A problem that involves the very foundation of this world, the concept of destiny, and... the 'guardian angel' currently residing in your head."

Sinbad's relaxed smile instantly vanished, his golden eyes narrowing into dangerous slits.
