The Imperial Martial Pill Venerable

Chapter 613 612: Golden Wind Falcon

Meiying's brow furrowed slightly as she seemed to be considering it.

The giant beast beside them watched Meiying with hopeful eyes. Although being reduced to a mount was a blow to its pride, it was far better than losing its life.

After a moment, Meiying nodded, accepting the proposal.

A look of joy, like one who had just escaped death, flashed in the giant beast's eyes. It roared excitedly, "You two great ones, rest assured! I'm a major power in this Ancient Wilderness Mountain Range myself! Most Exotic Beasts show me a great deal of respect. I guarantee—"

It spoke extremely fast, as if trying to make a guarantee, but in its haste, its voice was incredibly loud, like a hundred thousand muffled thunderclaps booming in their ears, deafeningly so.

"Shut up."

Meiying Venerable snapped coldly. A boundless Evil Qi erupted from her again, and her eyes flashed with a chilling light, promising that if the giant beast uttered one more word, she would tear it limb from limb.

The giant beast instantly fell silent, its body trembling slightly. 'How unfair!' it thought, utterly aggrieved.

If it lost the life it had worked so hard to save because of its own loud mouth, it wouldn't even know where to cry. No, it would be the most frustrating death imaginable.

Qin Ya rubbed his ears, then said to the giant beast, "Keep it down."

"Yes, yes," the giant beast replied, doing its best to soften its tone.

This docile, cat-like demeanor was a stark contrast to its previous behavior.

The two then leaped onto the giant beast's back. Although its body was covered in scales, tufts of fur grew from the gaps between them. Sitting on it was like sitting on a wool blanket; it was surprisingly comfortable.

"We're setting off now, my lords."

With a low roar, the giant beast took off, carried by the swirling winds around it.

In just a short while, it had already covered a hundred miles.

The giant beast was clearly terrified of Meiying Venerable. It did its best to move quietly as it ran, and even went so far as to flare its scales to form a wall, shielding its two passengers from the rushing wind to make them more comfortable.

Along the way, they encountered many Fierce Beasts in the Ancient Wilderness Mountain Range, but all were intimidated by the sheer ferocity of the giant beast Qin Ya and Meiying had subjugated. None dared to approach, saving the pair from numerous battles and allowing them to travel much faster.

Before long, however, the giant beast's speed began to gradually decrease.

Meiying was not pleased. Her brow furrowed as she said coldly, "What's wrong? Why have you slowed down so much? Are you tired of living, perhaps?"

The giant beast's body trembled slightly. "My lady, you misunderstand," it said.

"Not far from here lies the territory of the super Beast King, the Golden Wind Falcon. I'm no match for it. If I fly over brazenly, I'm afraid I'll attract trouble for you, my lords. That's why I slowed down. I would never dare to slight you."

Qin Ya's brow furrowed. "How strong is this Golden Wind Falcon?" he asked.

"Hm, I'm not sure. But for as long as I can remember, the Golden Wind Falcon has lived here. It's one of the oldest Beast Kings in the Ancient Wilderness Mountain Range."

'For as long as it can remember?'

The Beast King they had subdued was as strong as a Half-Venerable and had lived for at least five or six hundred years. That meant this Golden Wind Falcon was at least that old.

'Its power must be at least at the peak Half-Venerable Level.'

"Hmph. Go straight through," Meiying snorted coldly, utterly unafraid.

'How could a magnificent Venerable such as herself be intimidated by a mere Beast King?'

"This... very well."

The giant beast hesitated, but Meiying's icy gaze sent a chill through its entire body. Forgetting all about the Golden Wind Falcon, it abruptly increased its speed and shot forward.

On the side of a tall mountain peak, about halfway up, a cliff jutted out.

The cliff was covered with countless bones.

The bones were immense, as thick as tree trunks, and lay crisscrossed over the cliff. Each one radiated a brutal, violent aura that would make one's blood run cold. Clearly, their owners had been incredibly powerful beings before their deaths.

But now... they were just a pile of bones.

In the center of these bones, a two-hundred-zhang-tall falcon covered in golden feathers and exuding an aura of the Barbaric Wilderness was taking an afternoon nap. Yet even in slumber, the unrivaled might of a Beast King was still enough to shake the hearts of all.

Suddenly, the Golden Wind Falcon's eyes snapped open. Its pale golden gaze pierced through layer after layer of clouds, fixing on a massive Exotic Beast in the distance.

"I've only just woken up, and food has already been delivered. Not bad, not bad at all."

A hint of mockery glinted in the Golden Wind Falcon's eyes. It slowly rose to its feet, and in an instant, the terrifying pressure of a Beast King swept out in all directions.

Within a radius of tens of thousands of zhang, all living creatures prostrated themselves on the ground, trembling uncontrollably.

WHOOSH...

The Golden Wind Falcon spread its wings, which spanned a thousand zhang, seeming to blot out the sky and sun!

With the slightest movement from this super Beast King, a fierce gale swept forth, becoming a raging storm. With another twitch, countless trees were torn from the ground, sending sand and soil flying.

"It's time... to hunt."

As it spoke, the Golden Wind Falcon shot high into the air. Sunlight reflected off its body, creating a magnificent golden radiance. It looked divine, yet it emanated waves of brutal malice.

High in the sky, the giant beast's pupils contracted. The scales all over its body stood on end as an unprecedented panic filled its heart. "It's him... He's here!!"

Aboard the giant beast's back, Qin Ya and Meiying naturally sensed its terror. Suddenly, their expressions shifted. Their gazes sharpened as they looked into the distance.

They saw a dazzling golden light, about ten thousand zhang away, rapidly approaching through the sky. Before the light even arrived, its terrifying aura had already locked onto them.

"Is that the Golden Wind Falcon you were talking about?"

"In this entire region, only he could make me feel this way."

"An aura like that... it's quite extraordinary."

As they spoke, the Golden Wind Falcon arrived before them.

The Golden Wind Falcon's pale golden eyes glinted with mockery as it looked at the giant beast. It said indifferently, "I never imagined the great Wind Flame Giant Beast would be reduced to a human's mount. How laughable. You'd be better off as a meal for me. And don't worry, I'll be sure to devour those two humans as well."

At this, its eyes revealed a hint of savoring the thought. "The taste of a strong human is exquisite," it said. "I tried one over a hundred years ago, and the memory is still fresh. I never thought I'd be so lucky again today. How wonderful."

"Oh? In that case, I suppose I'll have a taste of roasted wings today."

Meiying Venerable's brow twitched. She rose into the air, and a vast Evil Qi instantly poured out of her, churning the clouds. The Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi in the area erupted into chaos!

The might of a Venerable was enough to make heaven and earth themselves change color.

Yet, upon sensing this aura, the Golden Wind Falcon showed no signs of retreating. Instead, the look in its eyes grew even more feverish, as if it wanted to swallow Meiying whole right then and there. Its voice was filled with excitement. "Such a powerful aura! Your taste must be far better than that fellow from a hundred years ago. I can barely contain myself!"
