Raising Yanderes to save the world

Chapter 254: Ch 253: Matter of Time

A bright light filled the dragon’s cave as Kael’s magic started to spread. It quickly bound the dragons and held them in place. They all struggled to get free, but Kael was not allowing them the freedom to do as they wished.

"Hurry up and attack the leader now."

Kael instructed, and Leon moved immediately to attack the fake dragon.

Seeing that it was about to die, the non-dragon let out a loud screech before it began to change forms. Even the dragons looked shocked as their emperor’s sister started to become something different from a dragon.

"What the hell! Why is your shell so hard? Let me penetrate it with my sword."

Leon complained as his sword shone with a holy aura, and he kept pushing it, trying to penetrate the hard scales covering the dragon.

The non-dragon let out a loud roar, its body pulsing with a different energy before falling silent. But then, it started to melt, and the ground beneath its feet began to dissolve into darkness.

"What is happening? What is this mass?"

Iris asked, and Leon immediately told her to step back.

"Iris, get away. I will form a barrier around this creature to hold it back."

Leon told her, and he plunged his sword into the ground to create a holy boundary around the dead non-dragon. He was trapping the corruption inside his barrier, but he had to maintain physical contact with it to keep it contained.

He wanted to purify this corruption, but it was so deeply saturated that he knew he would not succeed alone.

’Tsk, I will need Seraphina’s help with this. But she is doing her own work right now. Ugh, how long will those darn dragons take to sort out this mess?’

Leon wanted to yell, but he did not even have the strength to pay attention to anything except the seal in front of him.

Thankfully, Kael understood what he was not saying, and he nodded.

"I will go and see how long it is going to take Lyra and the dragon to come back to us. And if it’s going to take too long, I will come and help you myself."

Kael promised, and Leon wanted to yell that he did not need to come. But his body was running out of energy, so he could only nod as he focused his concentration on the task at hand.

...

Kael looked at Leon’s exhausted expression and then at Seraphina’s unmoving body before he started to walk toward Lyra and the female dragon.

They were taking too long, and that made Kael worried about them. He knew he had to check on what they were doing.

So he reached his hand toward the pair, and his magic surged. It connected with the other two before he allowed it to pull him into their bond.

The scene inside was one he did not expect.

Lyra was fighting the dragon emperor while the female dragon (still cursed) was cowering in the corner with the crown.

"Hey, are you going to wear your crown or not? You were so confident seconds ago when you reached out to grab it."

Lyra complained as she deflected another attack from the dragon emperor and looked back at the female dragon she was shielding.

The cursed dragon gritted her teeth and tried to put on the crown, but her body was not following the instructions her mind was giving it.

"I am trying! But it is so difficult! My body and mind refuse to cooperate, and I am trying my hardest here as well!"

She complained as she tried to place the crown on her head once more. But it was of no use. The crown was rejecting her body and her power.

"You are just making excuses now! You don’t want to abandon your brother! Just tell the truth and stop making these darn excuses all the time."

Lyra yelled back, and the female dragon flinched.

Kael could feel the tension between the pair, and he knew that the female dragon must be having a hard time trying to fight her brother while being unable to stop him.

Her inner conflict was real and visible.

And yet, they did not have time to wait for her to come to her senses. They needed to snap her out of it right now.

So Kael sighed and walked over to her before grabbing the crown from her hands and placing it on the female dragon’s head.

"What the-"

The female dragon did not even realize what was happening until she felt a surge of power coursing through her body. But once she did, there was no stopping it.

"If you are not able to make this decision, then I will make it for you. You can blame me for forcing this crown onto you if it will make you feel better."

Kael told the female dragon, and she shook her head.

Grrrr.

The current emperor felt his power leaving his body, and he rushed toward his sister in order to reclaim it. But Kael’s barrier stopped the attack, and Lyra pulled him back as well.

"Tsk, now that you don’t have the protection of the dragon emperor, you are suddenly not that tough to deal with. Now, shall we have a proper one-on-one, kid?"

Lyra asked, and the dragon emperor quickly shrugged off her attack before coming at her again. This was going to be another long fight, but only if the dragon empress did not step in.

It was up to the dragon empress to make her decision. But honestly, Kael was getting so tired of her hesitation that he was thinking about forcing her hand at this point.

If the dragon empress was not going to command her brother and the other dragons to stand down, then Kael would take control of her body and do it himself.

Would it require a lot of power and almost kill him? Maybe. But as long as he got the results he wanted, he no longer cared about the price he would have to pay.

He just needed the dragons to be dealt with.
