Chapter 324 - 190: You are still alive, Emperor.

"E... Electric Dragon..." the Dragon Guides said, their voices trembling.

"An Electric Dragon?" the Trial Takers repeated.

"An Electric Dragon!" Gold paled in shock.

"An Electric Dragon!" The battered and bruised Adam’s tone was excited. "A Third Generation Species! If I kill it and strip its scales, forget a spot at the Dragon Spear Baptism—I could even take first place!"

After saying this, Adam completely ignored his bloody wounds and the Bronze Dragon Guides’ warnings. He actually activated his Beastification again, instantly pushing it to Tier Two, and charged toward the Electric Dragon.

BANG!

The Electric Dragon swatted casually, and Adam was driven deep into the ground like a top struck with immense force, kicking up a huge cloud of dust.

The crowd of Trial Takers was stunned.

Isabella also tightened her grip on the red spear in her hand. Her Spiritual Power was nearly depleted from the previous battle. She was likely no match for this Third Generation Electric Dragon.

Unless... Her gaze fell upon the blood pooling from the Dragon Descendant corpses scattered around, a hint of gravity appearing in her eyes for the first time.

After embedding Adam in the ground with a single strike, the Electric Dragon didn’t make another move.

Instead, it looked around majestically, its purple Dragon Eyes, swirling with immense thunderbolts, disdainfully scanned its surroundings. Sparks of electricity rumbled from its nostrils with every breath.

Everyone its gaze swept over, whether Trial Taker or Dragon Guide, trembled before the Dragon Mighty of a Third Generation Species. Even Gold could only clench his jaw, not daring to draw attention to himself.

It was too close. Aside from subspecies, Third Generation Species were the Dragon Descendants closest to Pure-blood Ancient Dragons. They could even be directly called members of the Dragon Race. The oppressive feeling of facing one head-on was far more potent than the illusion of the Poison Dragon that had appeared at the Dragon Gate.

Still, some were not afraid.

Isabella told Baron to go get some blood from the Dragon Descendant corpses.

Baron, in turn, had the Dragon Guides who revered him for his title as a Golden Dragon Guide take out the Dragon Blood they had already collected to make Dragon Crystals.

A small vial filled with Dragon Blood was tossed to Isabella right under the Electric Dragon’s nose.

The Electric Dragon’s eyes shifted. The thunderbolts across its body crackled, and its Dragon Scales instantly locked together, producing a fine, mechanical sound.

It charged swiftly toward Isabella, the greatest threat among those present. Moving even faster than its body were the thunderbolts that twisted into geometric shapes in the air.

Just then, as Isabella struggled to support her tottering body and was about to bite open the vial’s stopper to drink the blood...

Suddenly, the Electric Dragon roared toward a certain direction. The thunderbolts that had been aimed at Isabella instantly changed course, plunging deep into a distant hillside and blasting everything in the vicinity to pieces.

Some dust-covered dark figures emerged from the cloud. Everyone looked closely and saw a group of people in front of the deep crater carved into the hillside by the thunderbolt. They were fleeing frantically without pause. Among them, people recognized the two young masters of the Beowulf Family, Jose and Tune, as well as a number of descendants from the Old Blood Clans.

As for why they were fleeing—when the dust settled, behind the crater was another Giant Dragon!

A Third Generation Species, the Ice Scale Dragon!

No wonder the Electric Dragon had suddenly switched its attack. It must have sensed the sudden arrival of the Ice Scale Dragon and thought it was here to fight for territory.

’And here I thought it was because of the Red Dragon Aura on me...’

Jose, Tune, and the others leaped over the jagged rocks on both sides. A few Trial Takers among them shouted to the crowd, explaining what had happened.

Gold and his group didn’t hesitate. Ignoring their collaborator Adam, who was still embedded in the ground and of unknown status, they had their Dragon Guides carry them and run. Dragon Guides were typically of the Old Race. The physical constitution of an Old Race member was generally stronger than even the best athletes from the Outer Side—unless they were Bloodless.

Seeing the surrounding Dragon Guides already carrying their Trial Takers and taking off, Baron immediately yelled at Isabella, who was still standing there like a Valkyrie, to run.

But Isabella just said, "Run by yourself."

’Seriously, lady? Your Spiritual Power is depleted and you still want to fight? Is the Beowulf Family’s combat gene Saiyan or something?’

Baron said, "I could, but can you undo my chains first?"

Isabella didn’t say a word. Instead, she put away the Blood Bottle and sat down cross-legged on the spot, leaning against the Red Spear. At the same time, she held out her chained left hand, as if to say, ’If you’re so capable, open it yourself.’

The two Third Generation Species were already roaring at each other. Massive thunderbolts and Ice Spikes rained down from the sky, smashing one bottomless crater after another into the ground. In the surrounding jungle, many innocent Dragon Descendants caught in the crossfire let out shrill, mournful cries.

The Trial Takers and Dragon Guides scattered in every direction, but a few unlucky ones were still struck dead by lightning or impaled by ice. Then, the Electric Dragon and the Ice Scale Dragon lunged at each other, erupting into a dragon battle of cataclysmic proportions!

’What does she mean by this... If we’re going to die, we die together? Or is she just too exhausted to move but too proud to say it?’ Baron fumed inwardly.

Just then, a violent sound of something tearing through the air came from above. It was, without a doubt, Baron’s seemingly endless "bad luck" at work—a thunderbolt and an Ice Spike were heading for him at the same time.

Baron rolled to the side, dodging the thunderbolt and Ice Spike. He drew Isabella’s spear with a reverse grip, slicing through the subsequent Ice Spikes. Then he pulled Isabella up and, with a quick probe, confirmed that her Spiritual Power was indeed depleted.

Feeling the man’s Spiritual Power sweep wantonly through her body, Isabella’s pretty face turned cold. Her long eyebrows knitted together, and the Dragon Scales that had appeared on her face from overusing her Dragon Mighty became even more distinct. "Are you trying to die?!"

’I came to you precisely because I don’t want to die.’

Baron didn’t speak. He helped Isabella up, ignoring her struggles, and draped one of her arms over his shoulder. Half-supporting, half-carrying her, he dodged a thunderbolt that came crashing down, then used the spear to sweep away the ice crystals that followed. The two of them quickly fled, following the path of the others.
