Chapter 107: A Stone Mountain
Meanwhile, all of this discussion is completely inconsequential to the topic of those conversations, said topic currently heading towards the depth of a mountain range dreaded not only by the ascenders of the second floor, but even by the most powerful of monsters as a place that can only spell one end to anyone that will even come in contact with it, death.
This place, a stony mountain range that seems to extend so high in the skies that it is even covering the sunlight with its towering mountain peaks, houses not a single monster in sight, as if it is a dead ecological zone that no one wants to live on.
This dead zone is a result not only of the fact that there’s not a single food that any monster might eat grow there, but also due to the fact that every single monster who has even a tiny bit of brain in their head knows better than to approach the dreadful, deterring aura seemingly pushing away everyone from approaching the place.
As for those creatures, whether monsters or humans, who wouldn’t think enough about whether they should barge in this terrifying place or not, their death is already set in stone the moment they thought that they can maybe, just maybe, survive without preparing anything, their demise, both untimely and unjust as much as it is abnormal, a death that will make one wonder just how could one make it happen.
With their bodies collapsing completely on the ground the moment that they enter a certain vicinity within this rocky mountains, those that dares to interrupt and provoke whatever it is that is lurking within this mountains were completely obliterated after their bodies completely fall into the ground.
And yet, that is not the most terrifying part, as all those dead bodies that was supposed to turn into nothing but compost for plants to grow on were turned into stone the moment they draw in their last breath, something completely out of the norm for deaths.
This also begs the question, if all the existences that died attempting to conquer or even just exist in this stone mountain turns into stone the moment that their lives were taken away, then is it possible that this entire rock mountain is built upon the victims of whatever existence is residing within it?
