Reincarnated as a Half-God with SSS Abilities

Chapter 181 - 2.61 God goddess, Bad god

Earlier the next morning, Lucious walked into the kitchen to grab some flesh, blood and a variety of magical capsules for Sera, Iris and himself. He was on an early morning schedule as the vampire demon hybrid baby grew slowly, following a typical newborn cycle, which was rare for the party.

He smiled as Xander and Diana laid awkwardly laid spread out on the sectional they had fallen asleep, cuddling together on. Diana was no longer a little spoon, but laying on her stomach with her left arm on the pillow with her right arm reaching towards Xander, who was asleep on his back slightly leaning away from her.

He started stepping slowly away when he saw Sora and Brie both walking toward the living room.

’Someone’s in trouble...’ he chuckled to himself.

’Sera will get a kick out of this! I have to see what happens, I’ll hide behind this stairwell,’ he thought, failing to realize Eris was walking down it.

"Quick, Eris, hide over here this is going to be funny," he said quietly.

Eris wasn’t sure what he was talking about, but quietly walked down the staircase and snuck behind it, hiding with him.

"What are we doing?" She faintly chuckled.

"Look!" He muttered while pointing at the miniature love birds then at Brie and Sora talking.

She grinned. "Should I manipulate Xander’s magic to make it look like Sora’s mad?"

"Do it! This is going to be epic."

Sora and Brie still held hands every morning when they walked out of their room and Sora immediately squeezed her hand, causing Brie to look at him. He had his index finger over his mouth making a faint "Sh" noise.

"Oh, that looks uncomfortable as hell!" Brie whispered.

"You were the one that said they could cuddle. Should we make them think we’re upset? That’d be hysterical. You look like you want to burst out in laughter."

"They look absolutely hilarious and Xander’s drooling, look! We should totally play good god bad goddess. You have to be the bad god because I’m the one who told them it was OK to cuddle. I didn’t think they’d actually fall asleep together though, that’s kind of cute."

"Why don’t we just go do that in the bedroom instead? That sounds super sexy. I’ll be bad for you babe."

Brie giggled quietly and kissed her husband. "Maybe tonight we can."

Sora grinned widely while yelling, "Xander! Diana! What’s going on over there?"

Brie smiled and stopped giggling,"this is gonna be so fun!"

Both Diana and Sora popped up and scrambled.

"Nothing!" Diana blushed. "Sleeping, that’s it, Brie said we could cuddle!"

’Shit dad’s actually mad?! Why is he so angry? I’ve never seen him mad at a family member like that.’ he saw it while scanning every possible area looking for a clue.

"Dad, I’m so sorry I didn’t think you’d be mad that we fell asleep together otherwise I would’ve just gone to bed in my room alone!"

"Your mother said you could cuddle, not cuddling each other all night while sleeping. Why do you think we have a ban on teleportation to your room!" Were you two fooling around all night? Sora said sternly but with a perfectly unreadable handsomely chiseled face.

"Don’t be upset, sweetie. It’s my fault. I’m sure they were good kids! You’re gonna scare poor Diana into coming over to our mansion if you keep harping on them like that." Brie spoke cheerfully with her bubbly, motherly charm.

"Exactly! We were good Mom and Dad I swear! Diana just had a scary night after she saw something in a vision. That’s all I wanted to make sure she felt safe. I actually wanted to talk to you about something. Can we talk when you’re less mad?"

"Brie I actually wanted to talk to you too privately, of course if that’s OK?" Diana asked nervously and super politely.

Lucious and Eris popped up from the stairwell.

"Damnit! We had it going so well!" Eris exclaimed.

Sora’s head’s colors turned back to joy, happiness, and love.

"Oh come on we even had Eris manipulating Xander’s magic too?!" Brie jokingly complained.

"That would’ve been such an amazing prank dang it. Why do you two have to be such good children?"

" I thought I had the perfect hilarious story to tell my wife this morning. Dang it. Oh good effort everyone, poor kids actually have something weighing on their minds. I need to get back, Iris is probably wondering where her daddy is anyway." he said as he walked up the stairwell with a wave headed towards his room.

"Wait what just happened?" Diana asked, confused.

"We were trying to mess with the miniature lovebirds. Isn’t that what everyone teases Sora and Brie about being? Silly little lovebirds. So, wouldn’t they be miniature lovebirds then?" Eris laughed.

"I’m just here to grab a food capsule. I’m starving. Lucious asked me to help play along so I suggested I could manipulate Xander’s magic to make it look like Sora was mad."

Sora snapped his fingers. "Dangit, maybe we’ll get them next time. Anyway, Xander let’s head out back. Brie you got this with Diana, right?"

"Of course my love," she said with a kiss. "Hi Diana, I’ll come sit sweetie. Sorry we gave you a hard time. It was just such a great opportunity."

"YOU GUYS ARE JERKS!" Xander teased, bursting out in laughter.

Diana laughed too and shook her head, putting her arm on her chest. "That woke me up, my heart is racing!"

Sora and Xander sat out back and he was giving his dad a hard time about needing Eris’ help to actually pretend to look mad, although he was impressed with how straight faced and angry his dad looked.

"Ha, thanks kid. What’s going on buddy? I’m glad you know you can always talk to me."

"Dad, what does it feel like when you love someone? Like, you said you knew right away with mom, but did you actually know right away?"

Sora smiled, looking up to the clear sky and sunrise. "The sunrise reminds me of our first night when we teleported out of that first dungeon. I knew I was very interested. It’s not every day you just find someone as beautiful and talented as your mother. She was so mad when I entered that trap door floor." Sora laughed.

A few months later, I told her I loved her first, and she said "Sora I adore you with all my heart, I’m sorry if that’s not the response you wanted."

"What’d you say? Weren’t you sad?"

"Of course I wasn’t sad. I told her that I appreciated her honesty and I was glad she felt that way and she shouldn’t be apologizing. I think I understand, you’re unsure about what you are actually feeling with Diana?"

"Yeah. I don’t know. I just know I hate when she leaves, I’m happy when she’s here and when she gets worried or upset, my heart sinks."

"Your life is always going to be filled with moments like that but I think being the grandson of Aphrodite and knowing where I really came from, thank you for never sharing that, will make it that much more difficult. By the way Celeste knows and I’m sure Eris does too, but she hasn’t brought it up."

"You’re going on a tangent," Xander laughed.

He could see the nostalgic, joyful memory lane of emotions, swirling beautifully in a mix of colors in his dad’s brain.

"Well you’re the granddaughter of Aphrodite and have more abilities than any God or goddess to ever exist. It’s like you literally inherited everything your mother and I had in us and apparently you got my moral character from when I was on Earth. Just go with what your gut and heart tells you and if she doesn’t feel the same, let her know that’s ok."

"See that’s the thing I’m worried she might say it and I won’t say it back. I just don’t know what it is. We were in paradise for so long while everyone else just spent a couple of days not like there was anyone to interact with other than souls and gods goddesses and phoenixes."

Xander sighed. "But I wouldn’t trade those years with our family for anything either. I just don’t know dad. I don’t want her to be upset. What if she says it but her head isn’t pink with love and it’s just happiness? Do I tell her that she doesn’t actually love me and her brain just thinks she does?"

Sora hugged his son, "I don’t think you’ll have that situation occur but if it does most certainly do not tell her that. I’m talking to you about it. Why do you think she wanted to talk to mom?"

"I never even thought about it like that. I thought she was talking about what she saw at the wedding. I figured she talked to her parents or something."

Sora chuckled, "Ready for this wedding? Just don’t follow me with whoever I have to fight, please. I have a feeling I know who it is and if I’m right, it’ll be a deal to be a one-on-one match."

Xander grinned. "Sounds good. Thanks dad I love you. Let’s go watch Auntie Sash finally get married to Uncle Levi!"
