Apocalypse Hoarder: I Have Billions in Supplies

Chapter 249 - 225: Jiang Linhai Is Controlled

With the group growing larger, Jiang Si had no choice but to clear out another section of her space. She dug up some frozen earth and permafrost and moved it inside, dedicating the new area to planting radishes.

But she quickly discovered a flaw in her plan.

The ability to grow vegetables and grains in her space wasn’t solely reliant on the energy stones. She also had an automatic circulation system she had purchased. It could generate power, control the temperature and humidity, and even send reminders for when to water and fertilize.

But for the radishes to become giant, they needed to be planted in frozen soil. The permafrost she brought into her space quickly melted. For some reason, the seedlings that sprouted couldn’t adapt to the climate inside and died, possibly because the temperature was too high.

This highlighted a major drawback of her storage space: she couldn’t control the internal temperature at will.

If she lowered the overall temperature, her other crops wouldn’t be able to survive.

Between growing other crops and storing all their supplies, her storage space was proving to be insufficient.

The only way for Jiang Si to solve the space issue was to utilize the land within the Barrier Space.

To do that, they needed to find a place to truly settle down as soon as possible. Only then could she adjust the climate in the Barrier Space to one suitable for cultivation and guarantee the crops would grow normally.

All the high-yield, genetically engineered seeds in her storage space could finally be put to use.

Everyone’s lives would stabilize. They could gradually expand outward from the Barrier Space, and if they encountered danger, they could just quickly retreat back inside.

That was Jiang Si’s plan, and everyone unanimously agreed. Since they were already being watched, it was better to find a suitable place to settle down near Miduo Castle instead of heading for Antarctica.

Ideally, it would be a place not far from the coast, so they could also fish. If their grain supplies ran low, they could make up for it by fishing.

Of course, what Jiang Si wanted most was a place where everyone could survive even without her Barrier Space.

She was still worried that she might lose control of her powers again.

But no amount of worrying about the future was as important as getting through the present.

They had only visited one supply depot; there were still two more to go.

Jiang Si decided to take everyone to them. If they were going to build a brand-new base, they would need massive amounts of supplies to ensure morale remained stable.

Since she had taken responsibility for them, she was determined to provide them with the best living conditions possible.

Hayden had wanted to show off his skills, to let Jiang Si and the others see that taking him in was an absolute bargain.

But he had unknowingly overused his energy and collapsed without warning.

Fortunately, he reverted to his normal human form as he collapsed, and Little Chun immediately caught him.

Xia Li was so scared her heart skipped a beat. After a moment, she scrambled over. "Hayden, Hayden! Oh my god, what’s wrong with you?"

For a split second, Xia Li and her companions thought Jiang Si was responsible.

’First, she’ll kill Hayden, then she’ll kill the rest of them.’

Xia Li and her children trembled with fear, watching helplessly as Jiang Si approached, step by step.

But the cruel treatment they anticipated never came.

Jiang Si knelt and took Hayden’s hand. An invisible, intangible energy instantly flowed into his body.

Hayden gradually came to. His breathing steadied, and he opened his eyes.

He looked down at Jiang Si’s hand holding his own and asked excitedly, "Did you save me?"

Jiang Si nodded. "This is what happens when you completely deplete your energy. You’ll need to learn how to control it."

Hayden immediately looked eager for a lesson, but Jiang Si just pointed to Zhang Aihua and Bo Xi, saying, "Ask them. Their control is quite good now."

Hayden’s face lit up with excitement. He thanked her repeatedly, "Thank you! Thank you so much!"

Jiang Si noticed that his clothes had shrunk along with him when he transformed back.

’Then why can’t Qin Shen do that? Is it because he can’t wear clothes in his tiger form?’

Qin Shen suddenly met Jiang Si’s strange gaze and asked, "What is it?"

Jiang Si smiled. "Nothing. Just thinking about how handsome you are. Incomparably handsome."

Qin Shen nodded, completely baffled. ’When it comes to women,’ he thought, ’it’s always best to just go along with them.’

The helicopters proved to be far more useful than the transport trucks.

Jiang Si had no intention of conserving energy. If they didn’t use the resources now, some unexpected disaster could strike, and then they wouldn’t be able to use them at all.

Over twenty helicopters lifted off, and everyone felt a long-lost sense of joy.

They had food, drink, and clothes, and now they were even riding in modern vehicles. Of course they were happy.

Before long, the helicopters were landing at Supply Depot No. 2, which lay buried beneath the snow.
