Apocalypse Hoarder: I Have Billions in Supplies

Chapter 238 - 221: Part 2

The words had barely left her mouth when Jiang Si summoned a luxury yacht from her personal space.

This yacht wasn’t even a quarter of the size of the Icebreaker, but it was large enough for everyone to find a foothold.

Jiang Si whistled at Dai Mao. It and the four birds—Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter—were the first to fly onto the yacht.

They weren’t like Dai Mao with his Superpower Stone, nor could they fly in endless circles like the other zombie Vultures.

The constant, intense flight had exhausted them.

Landing on the yacht, they all chirped happily a few times.

Jiang Si looked at Qin Shen, feeling like she was about to collapse.

A faint pain throbbed in her chest.

But there was no telling how far the lava on the seafloor had spread.

All Jiang Si could do was force herself to transfer energy to Qin Shen faster and faster.

With the new yacht, their speed increased significantly.

Soon, they were blocked by an ice sheet again.

The ice was solid, which meant the lava hadn’t spread this far.

They should be safe for now.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

But soon, the smiles vanished from their faces.

In the distance, a dense horde of mutated zombies—both human and animal—was rushing toward them.

Dai Mao could control zombies, but not when there were too many; using its superpower also consumed energy.

The moment Jiang Si’s gaze darkened, they were surrounded by a dense swarm of zombie rats.

And just then, the zombie Vultures from before grew agitated.

Dai Mao couldn’t control such a large number, and its waning spiritual power allowed their biting instincts to reawaken.

Jiang Si instantly used her Barrier ability, flinging all the zombies away.

Surrounded by zombies, everyone looked up and finally got a full view of Jiang Si’s Barrier: a transparent dome over five hundred meters in diameter.

All kinds of zombies were right above them, their horrifying, rotting mouths gaping open.

The group huddled together in fear.

Jiang Si didn’t know what to do. Ahead, the zombies were even more numerous and densely packed. Behind them was the scorching sea of lava.

Suddenly, the pain in her chest intensified sharply.

Jiang Linhai immediately sensed something was wrong. "Sisi, how are you? Can you still hold on?"

’I don’t think I can hold on,’ Jiang Si thought. But it seemed everyone was trapped here.

Suddenly, she remembered she still had explosives in her personal space.

’To hell with it, I’ll just blow some up first.’

Jiang Si had the group steer the yacht backward. As she took out explosives and blew up the zombies, a huge crack split the ice. The zombies tumbled into the water, but the damn things could swim.

The zombies whose brains hadn’t been destroyed regrouped in the sea and relentlessly tried to approach Jiang Si and the others again.

Jiang Si used her Barrier Space to fling them away, but another wave would just charge forward again.

’Why can’t my Space Barrier block their scent! If it could, the zombies wouldn’t keep attacking the Barrier.’

At that thought, the air suddenly seemed to freeze.

The zombie horde stood dazedly in place, looked around blankly, then turned and headed in a different direction.

Such a massive change had occurred in just a split second.

Everyone was ecstatic.

They had survived again.

Jiang Si, however, felt terrible. Controlling the Barrier Space was draining even more of her Heart Power.

Not only did her chest ache, but her head was starting to feel groggy as well. If she wasn’t gritting her teeth and holding on with sheer willpower, she would have fainted long ago.

But she didn’t dare stop. The moment she did, the entire yacht would be swarmed by zombies again.

Just as Jiang Si was in agony, the roar of helicopters suddenly filled the sky.

The group looked up to see ten helicopters heading straight for them.

A bad feeling washed over Jiang Si.

She could clearly sense powerful superpower users on board the helicopters.

Everyone grew tense, hoping Jiang Si’s Barrier could protect them again, but also hoping these newcomers were friendly and would take them somewhere safe.

Aboard one helicopter, Camille stared at the yacht on the water for a few moments. His gaze fell on Jiang Linhai and the White Tiger, and the corners of his lips curled up. "Prey spotted."

He spoke into his radio to the people in the other helicopters: "Commence the attack. Except for that humanoid octopus and the White Tiger, no one else needs to be left alive."

"Roger that!"

The next second, guns and ammunition were aimed at everyone on the yacht.

The moment they saw the guns, everyone scrambled for cover inside the yacht.

In another helicopter, however, Mai Shengxi narrowed his eyes. A playful smile on his face, he held up a cage. The instant his eyes met Jiang Si’s, he dropped it.
