Apocalypse Hoarder: I Have Billions in Supplies

Chapter 237 - 221: Barrier

Jiang Linhai’s initial shock turned to elation. He quickly asked, "If we catch up now, can you protect your mom and the others too?"

Jiang Si sensed the range of her Barrier Space. "I should be able to!"

But she didn’t know how long her Barrier Space would last. Her best bet was to use it immediately to get everyone to a safe place.

’If I suddenly lose consciousness like last time, we’re all doomed.’

She reached out and grabbed Jiang Linhai’s arm, infusing him with energy to help him keep moving. At the same time, she placed her other hand on Qin Shen, pouring a massive amount of energy into him.

She had to heal Qin Shen as quickly as possible, before she lost consciousness herself.

As Qin Shen absorbed her energy, Jiang Si was also absorbing some of his.

But right now, she felt like an ocean. The little bit of energy from him was nothing more than a single drop merging into the vast sea.

Soon, empowered by Jiang Si’s energy, Jiang Linhai shot forward as if propelled by dozens of powerful hidden motors. With a WHOOSH, he caught up to the flock in the sky.

Jiang Si whistled a command to Dai Mao. Hearing it, Dai Mao, who was carrying her mom and the others, instantly led the entire massive Vulture flock to fly into Jiang Si’s Barrier Space.

Upon flying into Jiang Si’s Barrier Space, everyone instantly felt a change.

The air grew fresh, the oxygen content rose, and the temperature was a pleasant twenty-six degrees Celsius.

The group, all bundled in down jackets, was instantly hit by a wave of heat.

They even thought the lava had caught up to them, making it so hot.

Dai Mao flew low, keeping pace with the yacht, while Shen Baoying noticed something amiss.

Except for the fish swimming frantically ahead, nearly all the dangerous marine creatures were stuck five hundred meters behind the yacht.

It was as if an invisible wall blocked their path; no matter how hard they charged, they couldn’t get past it.

However, looking past the yacht’s stern to its sides revealed an even stranger sight.

It was as if the sharks had suddenly grown brains and eyes; they formed a corridor on either side of the yacht, too afraid to approach.

Shen Baoying wanted to ask Jiang Si what was going on, but then she saw Jiang Si gripping both Jiang Linhai and Qin Shen, her complexion worsening visibly.

It was exactly what happened last time when Jiang Si helped Zhang Aihua.

’Has Jiang Si’s superpower come back?’

Shen Baoying tensed up again.

’Please, don’t let the same thing happen again.’

Zhang Aihua and his family were riding a Vulture. As its flight speed slowed, he grew confident that his vines would keep them from falling. He took a pair of binoculars from his bag to observe the scene behind them.

One look was all it took to reveal a startling sight.

On the yacht with Jiang Si, there was a gigantic White Tiger.

Compared to that, Jiang Linhai’s eight large tentacles suddenly didn’t seem so strange.

’Just how many secrets are they hiding?’

’They’ve had a White Tiger that big on the ship this whole time, and we had no idea.’

’Good thing they didn’t decide to feed us to it.’

But in the next instant, Zhang Aihua’s sharp senses picked up on something else that was off.

’Jiang Si abandoned the Icebreaker but brought along the monkeys, moose, dogs, and all the other animals. So why isn’t Qin Shen here?’

’Could it be... that Qin Shen *is* this very White Tiger!’

After all, Jiang Linhai could grow eight tentacles, he himself could control vines, and they had seen zombies and people with wings. The idea that Qin Shen could be a giant White Tiger suddenly seemed incredibly plausible.

Zhang Aihua was about to stare intently at the White Tiger when he witnessed something even more astounding.

A Blue Whale suddenly burst from the water, its colossal body threatening to crush them all.

Everyone’s mouths dropped open in terror.

Jiang Si, however, remained calm and told everyone not to panic.

Then, they witnessed the most stunning sight of their lives.

The yacht Jiang Si was on actually levitated into the air! At the same time, the Vultures they were riding, as if guided by an unseen force, all veered to the right, swiftly dodging the sudden appearance of the Blue Whale.

Jiang Si didn’t dare gamble on what would happen if the Blue Whale struck her Barrier, so her only choice was to have them dodge first.

Song Yufang asked in astonishment, "What in the world is happening?"

Zhang Aihua observed their surroundings. Noticing that not even seawater could enter their space, he instantly deduced, "Jiang Si has some kind of ability that creates a protective Barrier."

Song Yufang’s face lit up. "Does that mean if we stick with Jiang Si, we’ll always be safe?"

Zhang Aihua furrowed his brow and shook his head. "She’s only using this power now, so there must be a reason she couldn’t before. Otherwise, why wouldn’t she have used this ability on the ship? Now it’s gone."
