He looked up from behind his desk, his expression shifting in confusion as he saw who had entered.

However, the moment he recognized their faces, all the color drained from his expression.

Serina calmly closed the door behind them and locked it using the talisman Damian had given her, while Miona immediately stepped forward.

She slammed both hands onto the table and shouted, "So you fucking remember us, huh? Judging by that face, I’d say you definitely do."

Darrick staggered backward, but Miona gave him no room to escape as water qi quickly gathered around her fist.

Serina remained much calmer, though her voice turned ice-cold. "Tell us who purchased the information about our parents. Otherwise..."

The water qi around Miona’s fist grew even brighter as she glared at him, looking as if she wanted to kill him on the spot. "Answer her, or I’ll start breaking your bones one by one until you remember."

He suddenly let out a weak laugh. "Your parents weren’t killed because they offended someone. It wasn’t because they had some valuable resource, either. It wasn’t even revenge."

Darrick stared directly into her eyes. "The reason is because of you two sisters."

Darrick shakily pointed between them, his face twisting with fear simply from remembering the buyer. "I don’t know why, but they were looking for you two. They called you... the Twin Keys."

He swallowed nervously before continuing, "They were even willing to kill both of your parents just to take you away."

Serina’s expression remained controlled, but her hand had begun to tremble, and that alone was enough to make Miona snap.

Miona grabbed Darrick and slammed him onto the floor, roaring in anger, "Tell me who the fuck the buyer was!"

She leaned closer, her face only inches from his. "Why the fuck did they want us, and what the fuck are these ’Twin Keys’ supposed to be?!"

Darrick stared at Miona in terror before frantically shaking his head. "I don’t know!"

His expression finally cracked as tears began streaming down his face. "I don’t know who they really were, and I never fucking wanted to know!"

Serina stepped closer, her expression colder than before. "Explain."

Darrick swallowed hard. "The buyer was terrifying. They paid far more than your parents’ information was worth, and after our association accepted the job..."

Darrick laughed bitterly. "That’s why I changed my identity and hid here. I wanted nothing more to do with you two or those monsters."

Serina narrowed her eyes. "Then tell us everything you remember about..."

A black knife suddenly punched straight through Darrick’s forehead, killing him instantly.

A figure dressed entirely in dark clothing stood on the opposite rooftop before suddenly reappearing inside the room.

The masked assassin chuckled. "Hehehe... to think the Twin Keys have finally appeared again after hiding for so many years."

Both sisters stiffened.

The assassin tilted his head. "Keeping an eye on Darrick was worth it after all."

Miona’s water qi exploded around her as she immediately charged at the assassin. "You son of a..."

However, the assassin suddenly moved, clearly intending to bind both sisters.

Helena stepped forward, earth qi gathering around her body as she stood protectively in front of both sisters. "Sorry, you two. I only just sensed him."

The assassin glanced between Helena and the sisters before suddenly retreating. "It seems you two joined a rather troublesome group."

His body began dissolving into black mist.

Miona shouted after him, "Get the fuck back here! I’m not done with you! What the fuck are the Twin Keys?!"

The assassin laughed as his presence began to fade. "Don’t worry. You’ll find out soon enough."

His voice grew increasingly distant. "Just wait. We’ll meet again very soon."

Silence returned.

Helena looked toward Darrick’s corpse, then back at Serina and Miona as her expression darkened. "What the hell happened here?"
