Chapter 178: The System Has No Shame
The system remained quiet for only a few breaths.
Just when Damian thought it had finally finished showing him new surprises, another screen suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.
Damian froze. "Huh?"
He stared at the glowing words, his expression turning suspicious again.
"Another screen? This looks like the system message I get when there’s a return from gifting, but I don’t remember giving anything to anyone."
The system screen trembled lightly.

Damian stared at the four system screens.
For a moment, his brain completely stopped working.
His gaze slowly moved toward the words [Chaos Dragon Essence].
A few breaths later, his expression became extremely strange. "Wait..."
His mouth twitched hard. "Essence?"
He slowly turned his head toward the closed bedroom door, then looked back at the system screen. "Don’t tell me..."
Damian pointed at the glowing text with a stiff finger. "The essence I gave them as a gift... could it actually be from last night?"
The system remained silent.
Damian’s face stiffened even more. "You can do that?"
The system still did not answer.
Damian stood there for several breaths before suddenly rubbing his chin with a serious expression. "Damn."
His eyes slowly brightened. "So the system’s definition of a gift is broader than I thought."
Until now, Damian had mostly thought of gifts as pills, talismans, weapons, elixirs, manuals, treasures, and similar items.
Things a normal cultivator could hand over without sounding insane.
This, however, changed the meaning completely.
A slow grin appeared on his face. "Interesting. Very interesting."
He looked at the four drops of Low-Rank Royal Grade [Chaos Dragon Blood] that appeared inside his storage ring.
Each drop carried a faint purple-black glow, pulsing with heavy dragon pressure.
Even though they were only Low-Rank Royal Grade, the aura inside them was dense, violent, and strangely familiar, as if they came from the same source as his own bloodline.
A few breaths later, his grin widened even more. "Hehehe... my [Forbidden Immortal Harem] is already profitable."
He glanced back at the bedroom door again and laughed softly. "No, wait."
His expression turned even stranger. "It seems I’m not the only one getting the profit."
Behind that door, Linsey, Helena, Cynthia, and Evelyn were still sleeping deeply after being completely exhausted.
They had no idea that the moment they woke up, they would feel different.
Their bodies, their Qi, and maybe even their blood would no longer be exactly the same as before.
And that was not even the best part yet.
---
A while later, the bedroom door finally opened.
Linsey came out first, followed by Helena, Cynthia, and Evelyn.
All four women had clearly taken a quick bath and tidied themselves before coming out.
Their hair was still slightly damp, their robes were neat again, and their faces looked calm at first glance.
Unfortunately, their faint blushes and slightly unsteady steps betrayed everything.
Damian was sitting in the courtyard pavilion, drinking tea as if he had been waiting there for a long time.
He looked at them and smiled. "Good morning, beauties."
Linsey’s face immediately turned red, but she still walked over first. "Good morning, Master."
Helena looked away, her voice stiff. "Morning."
Cynthia lowered her gaze slightly. "Master."
Evelyn stayed silent for a breath before muttering, "Good morning."
Damian placed his teacup down and waved his hand. "Okay, okay. Don’t be so shy. We already did it. Acting embarrassed now is a little late."
Helena’s eyebrow twitched. "Can you not say it so directly?"
Damian looked confused. "Why not? It’s the truth."
Cynthia covered her mouth lightly, her cheeks warming again. "Master, sometimes the truth does not need to be spoken so casually."
Linsey sat down beside him, still shy but clearly happier than the others. "I don’t mind."
Evelyn looked at her coldly. "Of course you don’t."
Damian chuckled, then his expression became a little more serious. "Alright, I need to ask something important."
The four women immediately straightened.
Damian tapped his finger on the table. "Did you all plant poison bombs somewhere?"
The courtyard instantly became quiet.
Cynthia looked at Damian in surprise. "You knew, Master?"
Damian’s mouth twitched. "I just thought about it. Since you wanted revenge, you must have prepared a backup plan in case your revenge failed."
He rubbed his forehead. "But to think you really did it... damn. Where are they?"
Cynthia quickly shook her head. "Don’t worry, Master. We didn’t put anything inside the Heavenly Sword Sect."
Damian exhaled in relief. "Thank you. Really. Thank you for not turning my home into a poison graveyard."
Cynthia lowered her head obediently. "I will write down the locations for you later."
Damian nodded. "Good. I don’t want to accidentally step into one of your revenge toys."
The four women laughed at the same time.
The awkward shame from earlier finally loosened a little, and the atmosphere around the pavilion became less stiff.
Linsey leaned against the table with a bright expression, though her face was still faintly red.
Helena’s shoulders relaxed, but she still refused to look at Damian for too long.
Cynthia’s gentle composure slowly returned, though the warmth on her cheeks had not fully faded.
Evelyn remained quiet, but at least she no longer looked like she wanted to freeze the entire courtyard.
Damian picked up his teacup again. "Now, next question. What are you all planning to do from now on?"
His gaze moved across them. "Continue staying as Heavenly Sword Sect inner disciples, or leave the sect and act outside?"
Linsey, Helena, Cynthia, and Evelyn exchanged glances.
For once, none of them answered immediately. They truly did not know what they needed to do now.
