Incubus Lord: Lust Harem System

Chapter 269: The Last Man Standing Format

Damon led his group back to the Sky-Sovereign Hotel.

The walk was silent. Everyone felt the weight of what they had seen. Kai Reventon had thrown his lot in with the Eclipse Cult, and the tournament just got deadlier.

In the penthouse suite, Damon gathered everyone in the main living area.

"We need to talk about the tournament format," he said.

Selene stepped forward.

"I was about to bring that up."

She pulled a scroll from her storage ring and unrolled it on the table.

The document contained the official tournament rules, stamped with the Solaris royal seal.

"The Eastern Continent Tournament uses a team elimination format," Selene began.

"Seven participants per team. But the way matches work is different from what you might expect."

Damon leaned forward.

"Different?"

Selene traced her finger along the scroll.

"Each team sends one fighter into the arena. That fighter faces the opposing team’s fighter. The winner stays. The loser is eliminated."

She paused.

"The winning fighter continues until they are defeated or until they defeat all seven members of the opposing team."

Damon’s eyes narrowed.

"So it is not one-on-one matches?"

"No. It is a continuous battle. You can change your fighter between rounds, but once a fighter enters the arena, they stay until they lose or win."

Mei stepped forward, her voice smooth.

"The target is simple. Defeat all seven members of the opposing team. It does not matter who fights. It does not matter how many of your team members fall. As long as one person remains standing at the end, your team wins."

Damon processed the information.

’Last man standing.’

He looked at Selene.

"So if all six of my teammates lose, as long as I sweep the remaining opponents, we still win?"

Selene nodded.

"Exactly."

Damon felt relief wash through him.

He had been worried about the gap in cultivation between his women and the Eclipse Cult’s King Spirit Realm fighters. He had been calculating strategies, considering formations, thinking about how to close the gap.

But this changed everything.

’If I can be the last one standing, I can carry the team.’

He looked at the women.

Ariel. Mio. Mia. Seraphina. Flare. Alena. Lumina.

They were strong.

They had grown faster than anyone in the sect’s history.

But they were still Heavenly Spirit Realm fighters facing King Spirit Realm opponents.

The gap was real.

But Damon had the Chaos Devourer.

He had the Incubus Dragon Lord bloodline.

He had techniques that no one in this world had ever seen.

’If they fall, I will rise.’

He turned to Selene.

"How many participants do other sects field?"

Selene’s expression turned grim.

"The tournament allows up to fourteen registered participants per team. But only seven can stand in the arena at any given time."

"So they can rotate?"

"No. Once a fighter enters the arena, they are committed. You cannot swap a fighter mid-round. But you can choose which of your seven registered fighters enters next."

Damon understood.

’So the strategy is about ordering. You send your weakest first to tire the opponent, then your strongest to finish.’

He looked at Selene.

"What about the Crimson Eclipse Sect? How many do they have?"

Selene’s eyes flickered.

"Fourteen. They registered the maximum."

Damon’s jaw tightened.

’Fourteen King Spirit Realm fighters.’

But the rule limited seven per match. So the Eclipse Cult would have to choose which seven to field.

’They will send their strongest.’

He turned to the women.

"This changes things."

Ariel stepped forward.

"What do you mean?"

Damon met her eyes.

"I mean I will be the last line of defense. If any of you fall, I will step in and finish the fight."

Mio frowned.

"But that puts all the pressure on you."

Damon shook his head.

"No. It puts the pressure on them. They have to get through all of you before they reach me. And by the time they do, they will be exhausted."

He smiled.

"I will be fresh."

Mia’s eyes lit up.

"So we tire them out, and you finish them?"

"Exactly."

Seraphina crossed her arms.

"And if they target you first?"

Damon’s smile did not waver.

"Then I will handle it."

He turned to Selene.

"What is the order of battle? Do we choose who fights first?"

Selene nodded.

"The team captain decides the order. You submit the sequence before the match begins. Once submitted, it cannot be changed."

Damon considered that.

’So I need to plan carefully.’

He looked at his women.

Ariel was the most balanced. Mio was precise. Mia was unpredictable. Seraphina had the Azure Dragon bloodline. Flare had the Phoenix bloodline. Alena was an alchemist first, fighter second. Lumina had just awakened her Sun Wielder bloodline.

’Each of them has strengths. Each of them has weaknesses.’

He turned each of them over in his mind, one by one, as though arranging pieces on a war-game board.

Ariel’s water techniques were fluid and adaptable, but her cultivation was still catching up.

Mio hit hard and fast from range, yet she occasionally overcommitted.

Mia could vanish into the shadows and reappear at the worst possible moment for any opponent, but she was fragile if caught off-guard.

Seraphina carried the crackling fury of the Azure Dragon bloodline and fought with a terrifying calm that disguised just how lethal she truly was.

Flare burned like a living inferno, barely controlled, barely contained, and utterly catastrophic once fully unleashed.

Alena would be a nightmare to face in the right terrain, the kind of quiet, methodical predator who turned the ground itself into a weapon, but she was not built to stand at the front.

And Lumina — her Sun Wielder bloodline was freshly awakened, raw and blazing with untapped potential, but raw power without deep roots could fracture under sustained pressure.

He would need to order them strategically, accounting not only for who could win, but for how much their battles would cost the opponents who came after.

’But the key is me.’

He was the anchor. The last wall.

The one who would absorb whatever broken, bloodied thing finally staggered through all of them and still be standing perfectly upright, completely unbothered, and ready to end it.

He wouldn’t lose.

He had no intention of it.
