'So it's like a more accurate compendium…' as the information regarding his previous target came to mind, Novus thought to himself while checking out the effects of his newly acquired ability, allowing him to measure the strength of the target he laid his eyes on.

Howls and screams resounded across the darkness of the Verdant Forest, reaching ears of both Ebony Direwolves and Goblins, making each one of them realize the kind of threat they are facing right now.

'Tsk, I thought it would be way easier since my stats have grown drastically, but they're really great with group tactics…' as the mana blade channeled on his arms slashed through yet another humongous direwolf, Novus remarked with a clear hint of admiration in his tone.

After all, despite being promoted to the D Tier and advancing his combat prowess leap and bounds, both the Direwolves packs and the Goblin hunting groups still poses quite the threat to his well-being.

Of course, amidst the difficulty of dealing with the groups, it is way too obvious that he had improved immensely as well, the fact that smaller groups, pairs or trios of either Ebony Direwolves or Goblins are no longer any match for him now.

When it comes to larger group, however…

The young man remains silent as he pulls another arrow that hit him square on his shoulder, the jagged edge of the arrowhead making it hard and painful for him to pull it smoothly as it tears through his flesh and grind through his bones.

Eventually, he finds taking it out carefully too bothersome, hence the reason why he pulled it in one swift motion, transitioning from taking it off to using it to attack as he throws the arrow towards the creatures approaching towards his location by the distance.

His arm looked like it turned into a whip as he does so, his action being followed by the loud whistling of the thrown arrow that hits one of the Goblins in front of him.

And it doesn't even stop at that, as the arrow enters the Goblin's forehead, pierces, now, turned its brain into mush from the impact, before it left behind small shards and pieces piercing behind, continuing its travel forward.

At the end of its flight, it lodged itself deep onto one Ebony Direwolf's head, rendering the pitiful beast dead without even realizing what killed it.

The notification of him successfully hunting another couple of D Tier creatures appears to be just a bonus as he realized that there is something new with the arrow that just hit him, a faint smile appearing on his face as he listens through the notification ringing in his mind.

As he listens at the notification, Novus felt his heart pumping faster, more powerful than before, his blood feeling warmer as it circulates around his body for a few times before it returned to normal.

And as everything turned back to how it normally is, another notification appeared, this time, not just in his mind, but also showing in front of him as well, distracting him a bit from his fight albeit not hindering him too much.

The young man couldn't help but feel curious at the current effect of the poisonous property of his own blood a faint smile appearing on his face as his senses expanded, paying more attention to the arrows heading for his direction.

The succeeding event that unfolded can be described as nothing short of violent massacre.

Novus' smile grows wider as he finally found the right time to make his move, mana surging around his limbs as he reinforced it within mere moment.

His figure turned into a phantom as he moves across the battlefield, weaving across arrows coming for him with minute precision, letting none of them graze him as he moves from target after target.

One arrow approaches closer than he would've wanted, however, this time, the approaching is intentional on his part.

He grabs said arrow's piercing end with his hand, allowing his blood to flow across its jagged edge before he made his move, his figure disappearing once more as his movement casted shadow amidst his opponents.

Lacerations starts appearing on both Goblins and Ebony Direwolves as they try their best to search for their target, the two groups usually predatory with each other now seemingly teaming up in order to deal with the greater threat they are currently facing.

Within moments, those slashed by the arrowhead coated with Novus' blood begins turning stiff and paralyzed, their bodies unable to show even just a sign of movement for a while.

'Hoh… so it's like that…' recalling how mana disrupts motor motion once a large amount of it comes into contact with a person's nervous system, Novus relates the effect of his poisoned blood and that method to be similar.

'It was quite the pity since the creatures in the Evolution System seems to be immune with that paralysis method but with this…'

Recalling how many times he failed on trying to inflict such effect on the creatures of the Evolution Domain Novus couldn't help but smile as he finally found another method similar to it, only this time, he no longer needs the surgical precision level of swordsmanship required to perform mana paralysis on his opponent.

'Well, in the first place, it's kill or be killed in the domain so it's not like I have any use for a technique specialized for disabling an opponent…'

He then added in his mind as he notification after notification rang in his mind, the harvest being significantly faster, better than it ever was before.

It doesn't end with him coming out unscathed however, as blood flows from slashes and open wounds all across his body, bruises from Goblin's clubs, and slashes and laceration from Direwolves' claws and Goblin's arrows sending intense pain to his head.

Grown used to the kind of damage and injuries his body is sustaining within the Evolution Domain however, he only spared a momentary twitching of his lips to the pain before he gradually accustomed himself to it.

And the pain he got used to doesn't even last long as his talent, paired with the ability complementing it the best, started kicking in, bringing him to peak condition in no time once again.
