Chapter 258: Discuss
In Asher’s room at Academy, Asher woke up from his afternoon nap and checked the time. It was 4:03 PM.
After that, he took a bath, changed into a new set of clothes, and then checked the internet on his mobile.
After looking through the latest news and posts for a while, Asher simply chuckled. He stopped checking the internet and put his mobile into his pocket.
It was exactly as Asher had expected.
All the videos that Asher had posted through various accounts had already been removed from the internet. Of course, he still had copies of those videos, but that was practically useless because the moment he tried to post them again, the system would automatically filter and remove them.
There was nothing anyone could do against it.
It was not really a democracy, but a Monarchy. Everything was controlled by the Nobles and other powerful beings, and no real action would be taken until another major party decided to interfere.
And right now, no one seemed interested in interfering.
They might have interfered if Asher had not revealed his presence and his goal. The Imperial Family would have probably tried to corner the Church if Asher had remained hidden, especially after learning about what had happened inside that facility.
But now, things were different.
Asher had openly revealed himself and even announced war against the entire human force. Because of that, the Imperial Family and the Church seemed to have reached some kind of temporary understanding.
They were not trying to tear each other’s throats out anymore.
For the moment, everyone seemed more interested in dealing with Asher.
Asher then exited his room while thinking, ’Those three Saints must have already had a meeting by now. Or maybe they should be in the middle of one right now.’
While walking, he had already exited his dormitory building and entered the outdoor corridor. Many students were walking around him, and he could hear them whispering about the incident involving the Church.
Most of the videos had been extremely disturbing, so they had been removed before the majority of people could even watch them. Only those with higher authority had managed to see the complete recordings.
The ordinary students only knew that experiments had been carried out on humans and Demons, but they didn’t know much beyond that.
The Church had already announced that the videos were fake, and with no one publicly raising their voice against them and no solid evidence available to ordinary people, most students were already beginning to believe that the entire matter had been fabricated.
Of course, those who were devoted believers of the Church had never believed the videos in the first place.
And since most of the victims were just Demons and lower-ranked humans whom almost no one in power cared about, Asher knew that this matter would probably be buried soon.
Maybe in two days.
Asher didn’t seem particularly bothered by it.
He soon reached the garden. Many students were there, enjoying their evening. Since it was also Sunday, everyone was free from classes, and most of them were simply relaxing with their friends without worrying about anything other than the fact that classes would continue tomorrow.
Asher walked through the garden without paying much attention to anyone around him.
Some students noticed him and immediately lowered their voices.
Others simply looked at him from a distance.
Asher didn’t care.
He finally reached the place he had been trying to get to.
It was the building where the teachers and Headmaster stayed.
Asher walked straight inside without asking for permission or informing anyone beforehand.
While walking through the building, he encountered several professors. Every one of them noticed him, but none of them stopped him.
If it had been someone else, they would have immediately stopped them and questioned them about why they had come there.
But there was hardly anyone in the Academy who didn’t know the infamous "Arm-Tearing Maniac."
It was the stupid nickname Asher had received after he had cut the arms of more than eighty students during a practical test.
And considering Asher’s past actions, the professors simply assumed that he was probably here for something equally ridiculous.
Maybe another Food Revolution.
Maybe some other strange idea.
Either way, asking him about it would probably become a headache.
So they simply let him pass.
After walking for a while, Asher finally reached the Headmaster’s office.
He knocked on the door.
A moment later, the door opened.
Asher entered the room and immediately noticed a man sitting in the Headmaster’s chair.
However, it wasn’t the Headmaster.
It was the Vice Headmaster, Alfred.
Asher looked around the room for a moment before asking, "Is Headmaster not here right now?"
Alfred looked at him and replied, "He is not. But what did you have to discuss with the Headmaster? You can also discuss it with me since he is absent."
Asher shook his head.
"Nah, I’ll discuss it with him later when he returns. Just tell me when the Headmaster returns from wherever he has gone."
Alfred raised an eyebrow.
He was slightly curious now.
"What is it that you will only discuss with him and not with me?"
Asher looked at Alfred for a moment before simply replying, "I don’t want to tell you. I’ll discuss it with him when he returns."
After saying that, Asher simply turned around and walked out of the office without even looking back.
Alfred watched him leave.
For a few seconds, he remained silent.
Then he sighed and muttered, "This kid is too straightforward. He could have at least sugarcoated his words."
He leaned back in the chair and thought about Asher’s strange behavior.
"I wonder what he is planning to discuss this time. A separate glass for games, maybe?"
After leaving the office, Asher started walking towards the main entrance gate of the Academy to leave the academy premises. ’I guess they are still having their stupid meeting. He would probably return by dinner time, and then my dinner would be disturbed because of that.’
