Thrust Into His Arms

Chapter 98 The Confrontation II

"You bitch!" Brooke seethes, attempting to land her a slap. But she held Brooke’s hand just in time and shoves her back causing her to fall back and almost hit her head on the pool table. Curtis tries to grab her but she quickly steps back, her fists are balled tightly and pointed at him in a fighting stance.

The message is clear; that she would hit anyone who comes close to her. I let out an amused scoff, finding it funny yet impressive. She must be out of her damn mind isn’t she? What could she possibly do with those baby fists? She would get hurt more than who she punches.

That is if she even manages to land it. I take a good, seconds long look at her from her head to her toe. Well she did do herself a favor with the style change?

But why now all of a sudden? Did she think it would get to me? Funny. I appreciate the effort though.

And the approach. Suddenly she is fearless now? She should be ready to receive her punishment and be on her knees thanking me for not posting those photos of her like I had threatened I would. I almost wanted to the first day, but I thought it would be a waste.

Because I still plan on having more fun with her torments. What brings on this nerve of hers, I wonder? I cannot help but laugh.

Not just because I feel amused. It is also a subtle warning for her hidden in plain sight. If she’s smart she would stop this charade and apologize now.

I stop laughing to see her glaring even stronger at me, her dark eyes laser focused. "What is so funny?"

She asks in that same arrogant tone. "You." I respond with another light chuckle.

"They say clothes make the man. You managed to look less than the ugly gutter rat you are and that makes you think you are something?" I notice the sharp intake of breath she takes, her fists clenched tighter. She is trying to seem unaffected by the gut blow to her dignity but actually is. "You crossed the line far by coming into my room. Lines needs to be drawn since you clearly have no sense of boundaries!" She grits.

"What was that?" She puts down her fists and comes close to me. I can almost feel the heat rolling off her body. It’s so unwelcoming. More than that is that tuberose scent. Her eyes are burning with an intensity of anger. Suddenly I’m studying her with unwanted interest.

My eyes linger on her breasts a little too long, wondering if she is wearing a push-up bra or if that is her real size. If that is her actual size, then it is impressive—I must say.

She is now worthy to be in my zip code. In a realm of my mind I usually reserved for unsatisfying porn and mindless small talk with girls before they lowered their heads to suck my cock and bend over with their ass up in the air. When I snap out of my boob-induced trance, I look up to find her glaring daggers at me like she is about to deliver a swift kick to my balls. I find myself wondering what that would be like.

"Let’s work a deal." She says.

"You don’t get to make my life hell all the time." She slaps something on my chest. One stem of the tulips that I had placed last night in her room.

"I saved one for you."

I smirk. "Are you aware that you are only making things worse for yourself by doing this? You aren’t as smart as thought then." I don’t feel too mad. As mad as I should be at her. If I was, she would be against the wall, begging me to forgive her while I strip her lungs from air.

She takes another step, closing the remaining inches between us. "Define worse." She drawls. "You have already done all the worse there is by drowning me in a pool and almost killing me. I’m not the same girl I was before I came here. And it is all thanks to you. The only thing you can do now is kill me. And I don’t think I would even be afraid of that. I’m not asking you to stop bullying me as that would kill you. I won’t be coming to this place anymore." I hate how my eyes drifts to her lips. I drag my eyes away and pin them on hers. They are black as night. But they sort of reflect.

"You would only have an hour each school day. You would not go beyond that from now on. Deal?" She concludes. I only heard the last sentence. What did she speak about?

Brooke is sneaking to attack her from behind. She grabs Gweneth’s hair. "You lowlife slut! Having fun mouthing off, aren’t you, bitch!" Gweneth also grabs Brooke’s hair and slaps her twice across the face and punched her in the nose. Hurling her at Curtis causing both of them to fall.

Gweneth takes the chance to run away. I am feeling something odd; fascination? Amusement? I cannot tell for sure.

I held back Curtis who had been meaning to go after her. "Leave her." I say. "Don’t tell me you’re just going to listen to her bullshit and let her off!"

GWENETH

I run straight to library. Hiding in an hidden section of the medical aisle where no one comes. I have never been more grateful for the peaceful sanctuary it offers. I had tried as much as I could to hide my fear while I was speaking to him. My fist is not hurting from that punch I gave Brooke. Is it the adrenaline that is still spiking in my veins? It wasn’t enough though. I had fantasized her in handcuffs while I punched the crap out of her. I was certain I had felt real, true fear before now, like back in the swimming pool when he watches me drown, but nothing compares to that moment just now. I actually wanted to spit in his face and claw out his unnaturally green eyes so he’d feel maybe a quarter of what I feel when he bullies me. I had two options: break or build a stronger version of myself.

I just chose the latter. I cannot continue wallowing in weakness. At least now he would know that I will fight back.

I’m a weak girl who, for my own good needs to learn to be strong—or at least pretend to be.
