Chapter 2001 - 1999: Peter Brown’s Killing Intent
"Indeed, this matter requires careful consideration from me before deciding on a unified course of action."
Peter Brown had not made a decision during the meeting.
Returning to the study, Peter Brown sat down and fell into deep thought. The attitudes of those few people today had been very unsatisfactory. He had treated them well, yet disappointingly, they were still pondering over schemes against the Hua Kingdom. What exactly were their intentions?
Peter Brown wanted to execute someone, but he worried about mistakenly taking an innocent life. Regarding Benjamin Fisher’s behavior, Peter Brown truly did not understand what his current state of mind was, or what he was thinking.
"Your Majesty, which Madam’s sign shall you flip tonight?"
Francis Miller entered, carrying several jade trays with signs on them.
When Peter Brown glanced at the trays, his expression froze as he realized that this was apparently how the Emperor slept with women. He had not expected to have such a day himself.
He casually flipped a sign, and it bore the name of Lady Smith Sadie Carter.
"Lady Sadie Carter to attend to Your Majesty’s bedchamber." Francis Miller announced loudly, and the proclamation was passed along.
Hearing such a call, Peter Brown felt sweat forming on his forehead. From now on, the choice of which woman to take to bed would have to be announced like this!
"Your Majesty, will it just be Lady Smith who serves you?"
