Chapter 1687 - 1685: The Follower

After resting in the village for three days, Peter Brown knew that everyone had almost enough time to think about his situation, and it was time to gauge the sentiments of the people.

Upon returning to County Town, Peter didn’t make any phone calls. Instead, he sent a mass text to the personnel from the branches that were always considered part of his network, inviting them for a meal, which was meant to be a farewell dinner.

Sure enough, when it was time to eat, several people mentioned they were busy and could not attend.

"Manager, are you really going back to the village to develop?" Leah Nelson asked with concern.

"Yes, the countryside also has potential that can be tapped into. I plan to start with small projects, gradually expanding. Think about it, would you like to join me?"

"I’ll think about it."

After glancing at Leah Nelson, Peter simply motioned for everyone else to come inside without saying much else.

As people entered one by one, Peter looked around and saw that about thirty people had come. These were all types of people, some who depended on him, others who were originally Henry Ford’s people but had later come under his protection, including several officials with whom he maintained good relations.

At first, no one said much. After eating for a while, a team leader asked, "Manager Walter, what kind of projects do you really have in mind that made you suddenly decide to start your own business?"
