Chapter 1651 - 1649: Center

Salem Hill walked in hurriedly from outside, smiling broadly as he said, "Manager Walter, I went to check on our vegetables earlier."

Peter Brown grasped Salem Hill’s hand and said, "You’ve gone to a lot of trouble."

Salem Hill chuckled, "Everyone has been saying they wanted to invite Manager Walter over for a meal, but you’ve been so busy, we worried you wouldn’t have time."

Though Salem Hill was about the same age as Peter’s uncle, this cunning old fellow knew how to behave humbly, acting entirely like a subordinate. He didn’t treat Peter like a young man, but rather with a kind of respect.

Seeing his demeanor, Peter nodded secretly. Regardless of whether it was genuine, being able to act to this extent was quite impressive. For him, having someone obedient was enough; he didn’t need to concern himself with whether they were sincerely loyal.

Looking at the people who had come today, Peter knew they had already been tagged with his label. They could only follow him forward, so now, they were his people.

"Manager Walter, please have a seat," Salem Hill said.

By then, Salem Hill had already gestured for Peter to sit down.

Seeing Peter casually try to pull out a chair at the door to sit, Salem Hill hurriedly said, "Manager Walter, your seat is over here, please come and sit."

At that moment, everyone moved aside to invite Peter to sit in the designated main seat.

Peter smiled and said, "It’s all the same wherever I sit."
