Having resolved the company’s issues, Peter now had some foothold in this branch office. Every day, people tried to get close to him, and of course, Peter maintained a friendly demeanor toward those who approached him.
By now, Peter had made his stance quite clear; as long as it didn’t involve his interests, he generally wouldn’t meddle in others’ affairs. After a period of testing the waters, both Henry Carter and Matthew Clarkson realized that by engaging in some exchange with Peter, they could gain his support. Consequently, they stopped targeting Peter. Instead, the two sides continued their covert power struggles.
Peter had his people in the office, the business department, and the engineering department, so he had become relatively idle.
"Brother Wang, are you busy?" Imogan Jones walked in, dressed up.
Lately, this beauty had frequented Peter’s office more often, either to clean or to add hot water for him, always managing to flaunt her figure, especially when she bent over—accidentally on purpose revealing her cleavage.
