Chapter 1629 - 1627: Seeking Allies
Peter Brown had always been thinking about how to deal with the Carter Clan. Suddenly, he thought of a person named Leo Jones, mentioned during a call by Rylan Williams, realizing this person must be Rylan’s real rival. Perhaps he could be of use.
After thinking for a while, a wave of fatigue washed over him, and Peter drifted into sleep.
When he woke up the next day, Peter thought again about his own issues. The pressure from the Carter Clan was somewhat overwhelming, and without resolving this, Peter felt he truly couldn’t settle down.
Although Peter could easily leave this place, losing without a fight was not what he wanted. He had to fight no matter what.
He drove back early in the morning and arrived at County Town before work hours.
After breakfast, Peter entered his office, and the two beauties were already there at work.
Previously, Peter was the earliest one at the office, but now, these two beauties seemed to be competing, or something of that sort, as Peter observed a subtle rivalry between them.
Seeing that the floor had already been mopped and the tea was ready, Leah Nelson was watering the plants with a spray bottle while Imogen Jones had just come back from rinsing the mop, Peter asked with a smile, "Did you have breakfast?"
"Director, you look so happy. Did you do well on the test?" Imogen’s face lit up with a smile.
