Chapter 1628 - 1627: Trouble Still Remains
Having returned to the County Town, it was very late when Peter Brown washed up and lay down on his bed.
Peter hadn’t been too concerned about the Examination initially, as he was confident in his answers; the questions were not difficult for someone well-read like him.
Upon thinking about it more, there indeed were quite a few questions that went beyond the provided material and were challenging, but even then, they didn’t stump Peter.
Now, there was a lingering concern in his mind, and that was the issue with Rylan Williams.
Although he was currently peacefully coexisting with Carter Clan’s people, Peter was very clear that if there was any mishap and Rylan really got the upper hand over him, he would face extremely perilous situations.
What to do?
Of course, Peter wouldn’t stay passive; he knew he had to take some actions.
Ideas kept coming to him, and Peter was also rejecting those ideas.
The Carter Clan was a behemoth like existence. Even if he wanted to take down their people, he couldn’t expose himself, which was a conclusion Peter reached after some thought.
After all, they had too many allies and former associates. Even if he did turn the tables on Carter Clan’s people, it wouldn’t benefit him.
Then there was the matter with Rylan Williams. Whether the Carter Clan would retaliate strongly if Rylan was attacked was another consideration for Peter.
