Chapter 1603 - 1602: Making Money

Sitting in front of the computer and thinking for a while, Peter Brown simply stopped pondering and opened the futures trading website.

Recently, after learning about economics, Peter had delved into online silver and crude oil futures and had unexpectedly discovered some situations. There were indeed legitimate companies, but many companies were engaged in deceitful tactics. After Peter used a program to access their networks, the more he saw, the more shocked he felt, prompting him to take action against these futures companies.

The companies Peter targeted were those that engaged in delayed transactions. When the prices rose or fell, they would jam the network, preventing customers from conducting normal transactions.

The accounts of the customers would be frozen so they could no longer trade. After freezing, the operators would manipulate the market prices causing the customers to incur losses. This was one of the website’s favorite tactics.

After investigating the website, Peter covertly set up an account, then hacked into the site’s settings using his technical skills to manipulate trades.

Ironically, after giving one hundred thousand dollars to his uncle and spending 300,000 on buying a house, he was left with less than 200,000. Yet, through covert operations, Peter had already made 700,000. After giving 500,000 to Reid Nelson, he still had 200,000 left and now planned to double it once more.

Initially, Peter adhered to the rules and used normal operations. However, after secretly observing through the program, righteous anger surged in him. The website was truly unscrupulous, not only in delaying transactions but also in manipulating trades against clients who had substantial funds, quickly swallowing up their money entirely.

Seeing this, Peter stopped playing by the rules. He hacked into the system, then simulated a winning process, directly transferring the money to an account. After several detours, even a computer expert arriving later would not be able to trace that Peter had taken the money.

Picking up the teacup, Peter took a sip and smiled. He had just illegitimately earned another 200,000, and since Reid Nelson’s departure, his finances had once again reached 500,000.
