Chapter 1583 - 1582: Changing Situation_1
Investing in Second Uncle was essentially letting his own family make money. Peter Brown also understood Second Uncle’s intention, and thus, he didn’t let him own too many shares. Anyway, he wouldn’t interfere too much regardless of how well or poorly things went. At the same time, it provided another source of income for his parents, so they wouldn’t have to worry about money.
By now, Peter had a fairly good grasp of the situation in this Group company. It was a provincially-owned enterprise where even leadership appointments came directly from the Provincial Government House. This meant that if he could become the company’s CEO, he might even be able to directly enter a government department and continue to advance his career.
If he really did make his way up in such a company, it could well become a path to officialdom.
Of course, Peter kept these thoughts deep in his heart and never voiced them. He had his own plans. The more complex the environment, the better it was for honing oneself. Perhaps when the time was right, he could also consider a move to the government sector.
Regardless, he let Second Uncle run the business. With Second Uncle’s character, his parents wouldn’t suffer a loss. Besides, to be honest, money was not something Peter was really fixated on at the moment.
Having returned to his place, Peter took a shower and then sat down to read. There was so much to learn that he could only seize the time to enhance his knowledge.
Peter might have knowledge countless times greater than the people here, but he too needed an entry point. This meant he had to study the current state of knowledge development and avoid being too far ahead.
At that moment, Peter suddenly saw someone approaching outside the door. He looked towards the visitor and greeted them with a bit of surprise.
"Reid, what brings you here?"
The visitor was Reid Nelson, and today she seemed a bit preoccupied.
After entering Peter’s room and looking around, Reid smiled and said, "I didn’t expect a boy like you to keep a clean and refreshing home. Not bad!"
