Chapter 1428: Peter Brown is Very Dominant_1
Hearing Reynard Johnson’s request, Peter Brown retorted, "Do you think I would hand over such a weapon?"
When Peter posed the question, Reynard was at a loss for words. Indeed, whoever had such a weapon in their hands was virtually unbeatable.
"But aren’t you worried about the imperial court’s troops being sent to subdue you?" Reynard asked worriedly.
Peter just laughed and said, "If I were to use the Sonic device, who could possibly attack my island?"
With that said, Reynard was speechless again. Though they could bombard with artillery, if Peter were truly driven into a corner, he might just retaliate using the device’s sound waves, the consequences of which were worrisome even to think about.
At this point, Peter said, "After all, I’m still an official. Unless absolutely necessary, I wouldn’t do anything to harm the imperial court."
Reynard gave a bitter smile. He realized he had still underestimated Peter. How could this guy possibly be someone that the Johnson Family could control?
Reynard had once thought that Peter wasn’t very formidable, but now he recognized Peter as a strong figure. With such a weapon in his possession, Peter might be contemplating independence.
Fortunately, Peter still had a good relationship with the Johnson Family. As long as this was maintained, it would be a significant assistance for them.
"Alright, I’ll pretend I know nothing about the Sonic device."
Peter said, "Haven’t I recently suppressed quite a few Pirate Groups? I’ve obtained a large amount of Wealth from them, and I’d like to have you help me sell them off. Would that be possible?"
