Chapter 1108 Planning for the Future_1
After Harlan Swift took a stroll around the streets and came back, Peter Brown felt an even greater distance between himself and this world. It is a society that venerates power and money above all, with a great number of people at the bottom, while the wealthy live enviable lives. This is just a small town, and no cultivators could be seen anywhere; most high-level cultivators would not choose to live in the countryside.
Peter learned from Harlan that the cultivators here are unlike the cultivators on Earth who occupy mountains for their cultivation; they prefer to live in bustling big cities. After all, the spiritual energy is more or less the same everywhere, and cultivating in big cities means a greater likelihood of accessing resources.
Today, wandering on the streets, Peter saw many things he couldn’t quite understand, realizing this small town was bustling in ways beyond his comprehension. There were plenty of wealthy people who could have countless wives; here, polygamy and even polyandry were permitted, as long as one had sufficient strength to do whatever they wanted.
Of course, there was one iron rule: one must obey the laws of this land.
Peter also observed the situation in the marketplace and found it stocked with everything imaginable, much of it unlike anything he had ever seen. The food, vegetables, and meat the locals ate were all specially cultivated, and even thinking about becoming a farmer to grow crops wouldn’t necessarily earn money. Items for cultivators were exorbitantly priced, beyond the reach of ordinary people.
Having taken a bath and sitting in his room, despite the presence of many high-tech facilities, Peter was not interested in researching them; his mind revolved around the matter of cultivation.
Earth was clearly inside that cultivator, and only by seizing control of it could he possibly find the talent ascending from Earth in the future; otherwise, with this place being so vast, no one knew where they could end up.
Thinking of this, Peter felt a sense of urgency; he must get his hands on that cultivator.
Yet Peter also understood that no matter how hard he worked now, he wouldn’t have much money; without money, he couldn’t practice cultivation, let alone acquire the cultivator.
The big issue now on his plate was to gain power while making money.
Actually, Peter knew that these two things were unified; with power, the likelihood of getting that cultivator was very high.
