Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things

Chapter 459 - 230: Renegade Wizard

"You want to buy a Soul Fusion Potion?"

Mo Weng set down his teacup and looked at Pei Ze with a peculiar expression.

A flicker of blue light passed through his eyes, and a moment later, his face filled with undisguised shock.

"Your elementalization is over 95% complete?"

"Yes, Teacher," Pei Ze confirmed without hesitation.

Mo Weng immediately fell silent, his gaze growing distant.

Pei Ze was the most exceptional genius Mo Weng had ever met who wasn’t one of the so-called "Heaven-Chosen." He had long suspected Pei Ze wouldn’t be satisfied with the 80% threshold for advancement.

In fact, any ambitious Wizard who hoped to one day reach the Rule Realm would never choose to break through with only 80% elementalization.

But once elementalization surpassed 80%, every step forward was fraught with immense difficulty.

Many Wizards might spend over a century only to increase their elementalization by two or three percentage points.

Only a handful of exceptionally prodigious Wizards could push their elementalization beyond 90%.

For example, the Sixth-level Wizards who participated in the God-Slaying Operation had all advanced to become Level 5 Wizards with their elementalization above 90%.

That was why the four of them were considered elites among Sixth-level Wizards.

Yet even so, their elementalization at the time had only been between 91% and 93%.

Moreover, it had taken them five or six hundred years to reach that level.

And for that accomplishment, they were hailed as peerless geniuses, causing a massive stir in Chenxi City back then.

But Pei Ze?

It had only been three or four years since he became an Elemental Mage, yet his elementalization had already surpassed 95%!

Even considering the many fortuitous encounters he’d had, like the Battle of the Holy Ring and the God-Slaying Operation, which provided him with a wealth of rare treasures, his speed was still simply staggering.

Mo Weng’s expression as he looked at Pei Ze became complex, a mixture of gratification and sheer awe.

"I don’t have any ready at the moment. I’ll need time to concoct it. Come back in a month to pick it up."

"As for the price, we’ll call it seven hundred thousand Magic Crystal Stones."

Soul Fusion Potions rarely circulated on the open market. They mostly appeared at auctions or in private trades among Wizards.

The last Soul Fusion Potion to appear at an auction had sold for the astronomical price of one million, three hundred and sixty thousand Magic Crystal Stones.

In comparison, the price Mo Weng had quoted was extremely low, nearly half the going rate.

It would likely just barely cover the cost of materials.

However, just as Mo Weng finished speaking, Pei Ze said, "Teacher, one bottle isn’t enough. I’d like to buy three."

Mo Weng froze, a look of astonishment on his face.

"Three?" he repeated, just to be sure.

Pei Ze nodded, feeling somewhat resigned.

He had used the Eye of Omniscience to make the calculation. If he achieved complete elementalization, one Soul Fusion Potion would only grant him a success rate of just over 70%.

Two bottles would barely get him to 90%.

Only with three Soul Fusion Potions could he raise the success rate to around 98%.

Whether it was his advancement to Official Wizard or his breakthrough from Crystal Wizard to Elemental Mage, Pei Ze had always consumed several times the resources of other Wizards.

After all, he had always strived for perfection, pushing himself to the absolute limit with each advancement.

This was the fundamental reason he could dominate Wizards of his own level and even fight those above him.

Still, the need for three Soul Fusion Potions this time left him feeling a bit resigned.

’If it were any other Wizard,’ he mused, ’just gathering three Soul Fusion Potions would probably cost a fortune in both time and money.’

’Even commissioning the Travelers’ Association to save time would cost at least four million Magic Crystal Stones.’

’It’s only because my teacher is a Tier Six Alchemist that I can get my hands on Soul Fusion Potions with relative ease.’

"...Advancing with 95% elementalization... I’ve certainly never seen it done before. Using a few extra Soul Fusion Potions would be the safer bet."

Fortunately, after his initial shock, Mo Weng didn’t press for details. Instead, he seemed to have already rationalized the request on Pei Ze’s behalf.

What he didn’t know, however, was that Pei Ze wasn’t planning to advance at 95% elementalization, but at 100%—complete elementalization.

"The ingredients for the Soul Fusion Potion are hard to come by. I only have enough for one potion on hand right now. It will take time to find more. Come back in four months to pick them up."

"Understood, Teacher," Pei Ze agreed at once.

’I still have about half a year before I reach complete elementalization anyway,’ he thought. ’Picking them up in four months won’t be too late.’

After placing a dimensional bag containing two million, one hundred thousand Magic Crystal Stones on the table, Pei Ze gave a slight bow and turned to leave.

Pei Ze breathed a small sigh of relief as he left Mo Weng’s Wizard Tower.

’The Soul Fusion Potion matter is settled. Now I just need to focus on my training.’

’I also need to keep working on the Thunder God Golem orders.’

After paying the two million, one hundred thousand Magic Crystal Stones, Pei Ze was left with just over two hundred thousand.

Once he finished drafting the plans to upgrade his Wizard Tower, it would cost several million Magic Crystal Stones to implement. He still needed to work hard to earn more money.

However, Pei Ze knew that not many Wizards in Chenxi City could afford a Thunder God Golem.

Most of the potential buyers had already placed their orders, so new ones would become increasingly scarce.

Earning millions of Magic Crystal Stones in a single year, like he had before, was no longer possible.

From now on, it would be a slow and steady stream of income.

As he was mulling this over, Pei Ze suddenly sensed people approaching. He turned and saw a group of more than twenty Wizards flying toward him from the distance.

Faint elemental energy rippled around the leading Wizard, clearly marking him as a Level 4 Wizard.

The man’s face looked familiar. After a moment of thought, Pei Ze recalled seeing him during the God-Slaying Operation.

However, his attention was quickly drawn to someone else in the group—Yin Xue.

The young woman quickly spotted Pei Ze as well. After exchanging a few words with the lead Wizard, she flew over to him.
