Chapter 455 - 229: Golem Order
As the Divine Kingdom collapsed, the Dark Territory soon returned to normal.
But as far as the eye could see, corpses littered the pockmarked ground. The landscape was a scene of utter devastation.
Inside the Wizard Tower.
Pei Ze was taking stock of his losses from the battle.
The battle had left the Element Pool with less than 5% of its energy. Factoring in the fixed daily consumption, it would likely take over a month to recharge to full capacity.
As for the Thunder God Golems, a total of one hundred and forty-two were completely destroyed.
Over three hundred Thunder God Golems were severely damaged and would need repairs in the Golem Factory before they could be deployed again.
The remaining Thunder God Golems had also sustained damage to varying degrees, but they could regenerate on their own.
’The golem losses alone cost more than a million Magic Crystal Stones.’
Pei Ze winced at the cost. But then he remembered that he had eliminated no fewer than ten thousand Prayerers in this battle, a feat matched only by the dozen or so Level 5 Wizards. When it came time to distribute the rewards for their contributions, he was sure to receive a substantial haul. His mood immediately brightened.
’Hopefully, I can exchange it for resources to advance my elementalization.’
Pei Ze was now only a dozen or so percentage points away from achieving complete elementalization and breaking through to become a Level 5 Wizard.
But these final percentage points were more difficult to achieve than the first eighty percent combined.
Without additional resources, relying solely on training in the Thunder Elemental Plane, there was no telling how long it would take to achieve complete elementalization.
’No wonder so many Wizards advance after reaching only 80% elementalization. This final step is incredibly difficult to take.’
Shaking his head, he looked outside the Wizard Tower.
Having just been through a fierce battle, nearly all the Wizard Towers had exhausted their energy reserves, leaving them unable to traverse the planes back to Chenxi City.
So, after some discussion, the Wizards decided to rest and recuperate in the Dark Territory for a few days.
Having endured both a divine monstrosity’s rampage and the god-slaying war, the native inhabitants of the Dark Territory had suffered catastrophic casualties, and the Dark Elves were on the brink of extinction.
The Dark Territory was now arguably at its most peaceful.
As he was lost in thought, the voice of Tower Spirit 1 suddenly sounded in his mind.
"Master, detecting a high-energy individual approaching. Estimated energy level is six or higher."
Pei Ze frowned and extended his Spirit to perceive his surroundings, a curious expression appearing on his face.
"Let them in."
A moment later, Annie appeared on the Stargazing Platform with Gu Lin.
"Long time no see, Pei Ze." Gu Lin raised a hand in greeting, her gaze sweeping across the platform. Her face was a mixture of envy and astonishment. "I can’t believe you already have your own Wizard Tower."
Gu Lin had watched the entire battle unfold from a safe distance.
Of course, she hadn’t missed the stunning performance of the All-Knowing Wizard Tower and its Thunder God Golems.
She couldn’t believe that in the few short years since they had last met, Pei Ze had not only become an Elemental Mage but also had his own Wizard Tower.
His rate of growth was simply mind-boggling!
"Long time no see," Pei Ze replied with a smile.
Gu Lin was one of his few friends, and seeing her again after so many years, he felt a genuine sense of joy.
"You’ve advanced to a Second-level Wizard. Congratulations."
"Coming from you, that’s hardly something to be happy about," Gu Lin pouted.
In her years with Annie, her power had grown by leaps and bounds. She had already reached the second-level liquefaction stage, which would make her a rare prodigy compared to an ordinary Wizard. But next to Pei Ze, her accomplishments paled in comparison.
But Gu Lin’s thoughts quickly shifted, and her eyes lit up. "You don’t mind if I take a tour of your Wizard Tower, do you?"
"Be my guest."
Pei Ze smiled and, without hesitation, granted Gu Lin partial access rights to Tower Spirit 1.
This would allow her to freely enter and exit most of the Wizard Tower’s public areas.
Gu Lin quickly departed, leaving just Annie and Pei Ze on the Stargazing Platform.
Annie smiled at him, her voice soft. "You truly are full of surprises."
"The last time I saw you, you weren’t even an Elemental Mage. Now, you’re already on the verge of becoming a Level 5 Wizard."
Pei Ze wasn’t surprised that Annie could see right through him.
It would be strange if a Rule Wizard lacked even that much ability.
"I just got lucky," Pei Ze said humbly.
"You smooth-talker." Annie chuckled but said no more. With a flash of red light, she vanished on the spot.
A quick scan confirmed that Annie was no longer anywhere in the Wizard Tower. Shaking his head, Pei Ze dismissed it from his mind and left the tower.
A moment later, Pei Ze arrived inside Mo Weng’s Wizard Tower.
It was the same spacious and elegant hall as before.
In addition to Mo Weng, Lu Yan was also present.
Seeing Pei Ze, a pleased smile spread across Mo Weng’s face.
In the god-slaying operation, aside from the dozen or so Level 5 Wizards, Pei Ze’s performance had undoubtedly been the most eye-catching.
Single-handedly, he had eliminated no fewer than ten thousand Prayerers, including one at Level 5. His contribution was arguably on par with that of some Level 5 Wizards.
"You both performed exceptionally well this time."
Mo Weng’s gaze swept over Pei Ze and Lu Yan as he asked with a smile,
"When we get back, everyone will receive rewards proportional to their contributions. Is there anything in particular either of you want?"
Lu Yan replied without hesitation, "Teacher, I want a vial of Soul Fusion Potion."
Mo Weng pondered for a moment before nodding slightly. "That can be arranged. Your contribution is more than enough to claim a vial of Soul Fusion Potion."
The Soul Fusion Potion was a concoction that significantly reduced the incompatibility that occurred when fusing one’s Elemental Fire with their soul.
For a Level 4 Wizard to break through to the Level 5 tier, the most crucial step was to fuse their Elemental Fire with their soul, taking the first step toward soul elementalization.
