The next moment, flashes of light appeared before the Wizard Towers. Teleportation Gates materialized out of thin air, and golem after golem emerged from them.

In the blink of an eye, tens of thousands of golems flooded the battlefield, charging menacingly toward the spider swarm.

The ranged bombardment quickly devolved into close-quarters combat. Countless Shadow Steel Golems, Vajra Golems, Secret Silver Golems, and Supreme Golems clashed with the Prayerers, and the war instantly reached a fever pitch.

"This is what a war between Wizards and a Divine Spirit is really like." Yin Xue couldn’t help but remark in awe.

Any random combatant on the battlefield right now was no weaker than her.

And yet, beings of this caliber were nothing but cannon fodder on the current battlefield.

In a war between Wizards and a Divine Spirit, Second-level Wizards were mere cannon fodder.

Even a Level 3 Wizard could die with the slightest mistake.

Only Elemental Mages who possessed a Wizard Tower could be considered the main force of the war.

Yin Xue’s gaze drifted to Pei Ze’s Wizard Tower, her curiosity piqued. ’What kind of Golem Legion does he have?’

Though their bodies were made of metal, they emanated a violent and ferocious aura.

To Yin Xue’s astonishment, the leading dozen or so golems raised their hands, and a blinding flash of lightning erupted from their palms.

The next instant, countless searing bolts of lightning shot out, forming a thunderous storm that engulfed over a hundred Wax Melting Demons. The rolling thunder of sonic booms was deafening.

When the lightning dissipated, the hundred-plus Wax Melting Demons had been annihilated, not even dust remaining.

The Wizards who witnessed the Thunder God Golems in battle were all taken aback.

Their shock reached its peak when they saw a small squad of Thunder God Golems work together to take down a Level 4 Wax Melting Demon. They all began to wonder where Pei Ze had acquired these golems and started scheming about how they might get their hands on some after the war ended.

On a battlefield with hundreds of thousands of combatants, seven hundred Thunder God Golems were not enough to decide the outcome of the entire war. However, they were more than capable of turning the tide in a localized area.

Wherever the torrent of golems passed, the Prayerers were steadily pushed back, falling one after another like stalks of wheat before a scythe.

The occasional Level 4 Wax Melting Demon that appeared was also quickly eliminated by the Thunder God Golems working in concert.

Devoid of emotion, fearless of death, and unswervingly executing their orders, the Thunder God Golems were like the most resolute of warriors, relentlessly reaping the lives of their enemies.

This situation quickly drew the attention of Prayerers from other parts of the battlefield. A massive spider charged over, its body twisting and transforming mid-stride until it had become a Balrog Flame Demon.

Among Rose’s forces, Balrog Flame Demons were one of the few powerful Prayerers comparable to the Wax Melting Demons.

The weakest of the Balrog Flame Demons possessed Level 4 strength, while a few elite ones could even reach the Level 5 tier.

And this particular Balrog Flame Demon was clearly one of those rare elites.

Four Flaming Whips shot out from its fingertips, weaving through the air. They lashed out indiscriminately, sending both spiders and golems flying and turning them into pillars of fire. The demon then closed in on the Thunder God Golems, radiating killing intent. With a flick of its wrists, the whips formed a fiery net that descended from above, ensnaring one of the golems. A black Longsword then leaped into its palm, and it dismembered the trapped Thunder God Golem in an instant.

"ROAR!"

The Flame Demon roared at the sky and turned to attack the other Thunder God Golems.

As its Flaming Whips danced, two more Thunder God Golems were destroyed and crashed to the ground.

On the Stargazing Platform, Pei Ze watched this unfold, a dark glint flashing in his eyes for a brief moment.

"Tower Spirit 2, transfer control of the Spell Towers to me. Open a portion of the Element Pool’s energy reserves, up to a thirty percent limit."

"Control authority transferred. Energy restriction lifted."

A halo of light swirled in the air before Pei Ze, forming a brilliant Golden Rune Array identical to those on the Spell Towers outside.

Pei Ze reached out and gently pressed his hand against the Array.

A Level 4 Wizard with a Wizard Tower could go head-to-head with a Level 5 Wizard.

This was a long-standing saying in the Wizard World.

This wasn’t to say a Wizard Tower could defeat a Level 5 Wizard on its own. While Spell Towers were effective against large numbers of low- and mid-tier enemies, they could hardly threaten a truly powerful expert. Rather, it meant a Level 4 Wizard could use their Wizard Tower to amplify their own power.

This amplification was enough to grant a Level 4 Wizard offensive power comparable to the Level 5 tier!

As Pei Ze pressed his palm against the Array, the Golden Rune Arrays outside the Wizard Tower swiveled in unison, their ’muzzles’ aiming at the distant Flame Demon.

The reason they were called Spell Towers was because they had another function: a Wizard could control them to cast corresponding Magic.

Although he rarely used Magic as his primary means of combat after becoming an Elemental Mage, Pei Ze had still analyzed and mastered all seventh- and eighth-circle Magic.

This time, he chose an eighth-circle Magic: Aurora Ray.

Aurora Ray, which inflicted extreme cold damage on impact, was undoubtedly the perfect counter to a Flame Demon.

The Magic was amplified and transformed by the Wizard Tower, then instantly replicated by the hundred Spell Towers.

In an instant, the dense array of Golden Rune Arrays outside the Wizard Tower flared to life. A hundred pure white beams, radiating an ultimate chill, shot forth, sweeping toward the Flame Demon in an overwhelming torrent!

The instant the light appeared, the Flame Demon sensed the mortal danger. It shrieked in alarm and retreated frantically, but it was no use. It could not escape the targeting of Tower Spirit 2.

The next instant, the hundred Aurora Rays struck the Flame Demon almost simultaneously!

CRACK!

In a flash, the Flame Demon’s body froze in place. A thick layer of frost spread rapidly across its surface, growing thicker by the second.

In just a few seconds, the Flame Demon had become an ice sculpture.

Its massive body was imprisoned in solid ice, completely motionless. Its savage face was frozen in an expression of terror and despair.

Immediately after, the surrounding Thunder God Golems all raised their palms toward the ice sculpture. Amid a deafening thunderclap, countless bolts of lightning blasted the statue to smithereens.

The surrounding Wizards who witnessed this gasped in unison, their gazes fixed on the All-Knowing Wizard Tower, filled with utter shock.

’To take out a Level 5 Balrog Flame Demon in a single volley... what kind of offensive power was that?!’
