Outside, the street was still busy.
People were moving as usual, but some had already heard what happened inside the restaurant. A few glanced at Alan and the others as they walked past, then quickly looked away.
Alan didn't pay attention to them.
He looked around the street and continued walking at a normal pace.
"We'll check a few more places," he said.
Marie Rose and Latina followed beside him.
They passed by several shops—equipment stores, potion shops, and small stalls selling local items. Alan stopped at a few places, asking simple questions about prices and materials.
The shopkeepers answered carefully.
Some of them seemed nervous, but they still responded properly.
"The market here is more stable," Alan said after leaving one shop.
Latina nodded. "And the quality is consistent."
Marie Rose didn't comment. She was observing the people instead.
"They're cautious," she said after a while.
Alan agreed. "News spreads fast here."
They continued walking.
After some time, they reached a quieter area of the city. The number of people decreased, and the buildings looked more organized and well-maintained.
"This area looks different," Latina said.
"Probably a higher district," Alan replied.
He looked ahead at a larger building.
"We'll check that next."
They walked toward it without stopping.
They approached the building.
It was larger than the others nearby and had a clean structure. Guards were standing at the entrance, watching the area quietly.
Alan slowed down slightly and looked at the sign near the gate.
"It's an information office," he said.
"That helps," Latina replied.
They walked up to the entrance.
The guards noticed them but didn't stop them. They only gave a brief look before stepping aside.
Inside, the space was quiet and organized. There were counters where people were asking questions, registering requests, or buying maps and records.
Alan walked to one of the counters.
"I need a map of the Eastern Continent," he said.
The staff member nodded and took out a scroll.
"This is the standard map. It shows major cities and regions," he said.
Alan took it and looked through it briefly.
"How much?" he asked.
The staff member told him the price.
Alan paid without hesitation and stored the map.
"Anything else?" the staff member asked.
"Information about nearby regions," Alan said.
The staff member handed him a small booklet.
"This has basic details about the surrounding areas," he said.
Alan took it as well.
"Thanks."
He stepped aside and opened the map.
Marie Rose and Latina moved closer.
The map showed several cities, routes, and marked zones.
"The scale is similar to the West," Alan said.
Latina nodded. "Though unlike the west here are only five kingdoms."
Alan nodded as he closed the map as after acquiring the map his player map have been updated now.
Alan closed the map and stored it.
"Lets explore bit more" he said.
Marie Rose and Latina nodded.
They stepped out of the building and returned to the street.
The area was still quiet compared to the lower districts. Fewer people moved around, and most of them looked like officials or trained individuals.
Alan glanced at the booklet he had received and flipped through a few pages.
"It lists nearby regions and basic resources," he said.
Latina leaned slightly closer. "Anything useful?"
"Some training grounds, a few hunting zones, and a dungeon near the outskirts," Alan replied.
Marie Rose looked ahead. "We can check the training grounds first."
Alan nodded. "That works."
They began walking again.
As they moved deeper into the district, they started seeing more structured facilities. Some buildings had open spaces where people were practicing combat or training.
The sounds of weapons clashing could be heard from a distance.
Clang—! Clang—!
Alan looked toward one of the training areas.
"We'll start there," he said.
The three of them walked toward the sound.
They entered the training area.
It was an open ground with several sections. Some people were practicing sword techniques, while others were sparring in pairs. A few instructors stood nearby, watching and correcting movements.
Alan stopped at the side and observed quietly.
"The level is higher than the West," he said.
Latina nodded. "Their basics are better."
Marie Rose looked at a group practicing in the center. "They are more disciplined."
Alan watched a sparring match for a moment. The movements were clean and controlled, with fewer unnecessary actions.
He shifted his gaze to another area where a few people were training alone.
"They focus more on repetition," he added.
Latina looked around. "There are fewer beginners here."
Alan nodded. "Even the lower levels are trained properly."
They stayed there for a while, just observing.
After some time, one of the instructors noticed them and walked over.
"Are you here to train?" he asked.
Alan shook his head. "Just looking around."
The instructor nodded and didn't ask further.
"Stay to the side," he said, then returned to his group.
Alan watched for a bit longer before speaking again.
"We'll check one more place and then regroup," he said.
Marie Rose and Latina agreed.
They turned and left the training area.
They stepped out of the training area and returned to the street.
Alan looked at the booklet again for a moment.
"There's a small library nearby," he said.
"It won't hurt to take a look," Latina replied.
Marie Rose didn't say anything, but she followed.
They walked for a few minutes and reached a quiet building. It was smaller than the information office but looked well-maintained.
They entered.
Inside, it was calm. Shelves filled with books were arranged neatly. A few people were reading or writing at tables.
Alan walked to a shelf and picked up a book.
He flipped through a few pages.
"Basic history," he said.
Latina checked another section. "There are records about regions and clans."
Marie Rose stood near the center, looking around.
"There's nothing restricted here," she said.
Alan nodded. "This is for public use."
He read a few pages quietly, then put the book back.
"We got enough for now," he said.
Latina agreed.
They left the building and stepped back outside.
Alan looked at the position of the sun.
"It's about time," he said.
"We should head back."
