Alan looked at the two in his arms again.
"…Good," he said quietly.
He adjusted his hold and sat down, letting them settle more comfortably. Marcus kept moving, grabbing his collar and trying to climb higher, while Selene stayed closer, quietly holding onto him.
"They're growing fast," Alan said.
Latina nodded.
"Faster than normal," she replied. "Even their mana is increasing every day."
Marie Rose added, "And their control is improving too. They don't lose balance anymore."
Alan observed them carefully.
Their bodies were stable.
Their energy flow was smooth.
There were no signs of instability.
"…Then there's no problem," he said.
Marcus suddenly laughed and released a small burst of energy from his hand.
A faint ripple spread in the air.
Selene followed, releasing a softer wave that wrapped around Alan's arm.
Alan didn't react much.
He simply watched.
"…They're already using it instinctively."
Latina smiled slightly.
"They don't understand it yet, but their bodies do."
Alan leaned back slightly.
That meant their potential was even higher than expected.
For a moment, he stayed like that, holding them.
Then—
A faint presence approached from outside.
Alan glanced toward the entrance.
Dante.
He stepped in calmly and stopped at a distance.
His red eyes moved across the room before stopping on Alan and the children.
"…So this is where you came."
" Yes, and in any situation, they are the first priority to rescue," Alan said calmly.
Dante nodded.
The two little munchkins looked at him curiously. Marcus tilted his head, while Selene stared at him with wide eyes. Dante kept a calm and emotionless expression even while looking at them.
"…You should learn to smile," Alan said as he watched him.
Dante gave a small nod.
"I will try."
After a brief pause, he spoke again.
"I would like to go and train in the desert. The monsters there will help me grow faster."
Alan nodded.
"You can do whatever you want to grow stronger."
Dante bowed slightly.
"Understood."
Then he turned and left without wasting time.
The room became quiet again.
Marie Rose stepped closer and looked at Alan.
"…Is he the new Guardian you created?" she asked.
Then she added,
"He seems to have potential equal to your first Guardian."
Alan nodded once.
"He is made using something even more powerful than Mumud."
Marie Rose's expression changed slightly, but she didn't question further.
She simply nodded.
Alan adjusted his hold on the two children.
Marcus had already fallen asleep, his head resting against Alan's shoulder. Selene was still awake, but her eyes were slowly closing.
"…It seems your blood is too much for them," Latina said as she watched them. Both of them had only taken a small amount, yet they were already falling asleep.
"It's normal," Alan replied calmly. "Even if they're my children, they're not strong enough to handle it all at once."
Both women nodded in understanding.
After a moment, Alan looked at them.
"Anyway, do you two want to go and explore the East Continent?" he asked.
Latina's eyes lit up slightly.
"Yes, I would like to see the other continent," she said.
Marie Rose nodded as well.
"I agree."
Alan gave a small nod.
"Alright. Get ready. We'll leave in the evening."
Both of them stood up and carefully handed the children to the maids.
"Take them outside," Alan said.
The maids nodded and gently carried Marcus and Selene out of the room, closing the bedroom door behind them.
—
Later that evening—
Alan stood in front of his six knight captains.
Piaro, Asmophel, Fenrir—
And his three Guardians: Lucifer, Xander, and Dante.
All of them were looking at him.
"We also want to go to the East Continent," they said.
Alan looked at them for a moment.
"…You all can't go there at once," he said.
They exchanged glances with each other.
"Then who will go with you?" they asked.
Alan looked at them and replied calmly,
"This time, I will only take Piaro and Lucifer."
Both of them smiled slightly, while the others looked a bit dissatisfied.
"You all have to stay back and keep the kingdom safe in our absence," Alan added.
Fenrir snorted.
"The other direct descendants can handle that. We can easily go with you," he said.
Alan shook his head.
"It's better if you stay here. I'm only going to explore with my wives. Piaro and Lucifer are enough for security."
They went silent after hearing that.
Then Alan added,
"Still, get ready. When I return, we will go after a mythical beast."
Their eyes lit up immediately.
Curiosity and excitement filled their expressions as they wondered what kind of beast it would be.
A faint grin appeared on Fenrir's face.
"…Now that sounds interesting."
Lucifer crossed his arms, his expression calm but his eyes sharp.
"A mythical beast isn't something that appears often," he said. "It won't be weak."
Piaro nodded once.
"Then we should prepare properly."
Asmophel let out a small breath.
"…Looks like we'll have something worth fighting soon."
Dante remained silent, but his gaze shifted slightly. The mention of a mythical beast had clearly caught his attention.
Alan looked at all of them.
"Don't rush," he said. "We'll deal with it after I return."
They all nodded.
Even Fenrir didn't argue this time.
The anticipation was enough.
Alan turned around.
"That's all."
With that, he left them to their own preparations.
—
A little later—
Alan stood near the teleport point, waiting.
Latina and Marie Rose soon arrived, both ready all with Marcus and Selene held in two maids walking behind them.
These maids might look normal but both are powerful level 400+ True Vampires created by Marie Rose and since they were created by her they are even more stronger then normal True Vampires created by other Direct Descendants.
Lucifer and Piaro were already there as well.
"Everything set?" Alan asked.
Latina nodded.
"Yes."
Marie Rose gave a small smile.
"We're ready."
"Okay then, let's go," Alan said.
He took out a teleportation scroll for the East Continent and activated it. A magic circle formed beneath them, and in the next moment, they disappeared.
—
Some time later—
Kraugel arrived at the gate of the Reidan City.
He looked around before stepping forward.
"Where is Sir Piaro?" he asked.
Asmophel looked at him with a suspicious gaze.
"…Why do you want to know?" he asked.
